Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

I BROUGHT YOU TO LIFE
SO THAT I CAN HEAR YOU SCREAM

He comes as a plague upon the land. His inky coat is a stark contrast against the achromous landscape - its life drained from it by the ever hungry jaws of Lady Winter. It was a beautiful sight to behold, to see the once lively and fruitful land now sheathed in a cloak of deathly white. It was her most favored time of the year for that reason being one of the many.

She watches him passively - as she ofttimes does with any perfect stranger, generally unbeknownst to them. The white she-wolf should be infamous for her profound proficiency in stealth and deftness - yet she could not conceal every part of her being. Her scent betrayed her positioning as the chilling winter wind brushed through, her silken fur dancing with the tendrils of air that passed her by. There is the slight chance that - if the opportunity was to be given - she would gamble anything to have her essence taken from her entirely, so that she would be able to become nearly invisible among the whitewashed land. But instead she held her composure and continued to study him without movement, save for her slight breathing pattern and blinking gaze.

He is an unknown and to her, unknown is dangerous, unknown is deceit. She had once been with one like such and it did not end in her favor. They were to be eradicated, those who were so much like her own once was. They could not be trusted and as such, should perish. This was the state in which her mind now processed and there was no foresight of change.

It was then that the snow laden statuette moved, her litheness now evident within her smooth motions. Flush colored eyes stared intently at the obsidian beast as she stalked forward, her mind nothing more than working as a machine, doing as it once had and will again. Perhaps in a different way this time, yet she may not want to play such a game - perhaps it will be quickly finished..

Her forthcoming actions were not followed through, however, as the pale maiden positioned herself abreast of the unknown. Pale hued eyes were fixated toward the lazy moving water as her tail swayed to curl beside of her, between the two of them. She would wait.. then she would act.
