Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

It was refreshing to let go of his thoughts for but one night, enjoying the tune of nature and the tune of the woman he sought out among the thickets. He wondered if he would leave the encounter with something new - he often left with information, stories of others but he, occasionally, felt as if he was missing out on something others had. Even Caligula had others that she spent time with, though he did not know their names. He simply knew she would leave at times with strangers and return after a day spent hunting or exploring. That was something he did not truly have. When he went off without his family, he was alone. He had no others to spend his time with and perhaps... perhaps that is what he sought to leave with this night. His mind was a sharp thing, as was his ambition, and yet he often found such sharpness made others shy away. Even now he could see the hesitancy in the female's demeanor, making him reconsider whether or not it had been appropriate to approach.

She spoke though, the hint of a smile capturing the moon's light and he found himself feeling relieved, though momentarily. He was a creature of cool calmness, brilliantly composed for the most part. Even if he had his insecurity, they were eradicated from his features and replaced with a smooth smile, his tail waving behind him slowly. Again, there seemed to be hesitancy in her response as he stood along side her but for now, he would wait and see if he was truly good company or if she were merely polite. After all, he did not openly like to intrude on others, particularly strangers who smelt of lands far outside of Moladion. She was new, and thus, he came to her with earnest intentions rather than his usual thirst for knowledge. Friends were... a difficult thing. How did Caligula manage such a thing? She truly was an exceptional woman, that one.

"Gormlaith? It's a pleasure. My name is Tesseract."

Again, he bowed his head slightly, holding the pose for some moments before turning away slightly to watch the sky above. In the distance, there could be heard what he assumed to be others returning their song, his ears pricking as he listened to each individual sound. It had always baffled him just how many wolves chose to be alone in the free lands - dozens and dozens, surely. He wouldn't be surprised if they outnumbered those who lived in the packs and yet... why did they choose such a life? After but a year living with only Caligula, he desired the security once more, the territory in which one could become infinity familiar with. Ah, the thoughts had returned - he could not help but sigh, shaking his head slowly. He hoped it had gone unnoticed, and if not, he made an effort to conceal it, rocking back into a seated position, the snow and leaf litter crunching beneath him.

"So tell me, Gormlaith. What is it that makes you sing a song so joyous? I haven't heard such a sound in so long it would seem."

Maybe she knew some grand secret to happiness that he did not - it was not to say he was unhappy, but one could always strive to be better at everything. That included feeling such an emotion.
