Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

What could he say? He understood youth well, for at five years old, he had barely escaped its grip. Of course, there was one thing he could not relate to and that was the boy's issue when it came to his mother. In fact, at the mention, Tesseract's features practically dropped, a brow lifting up curiously and yet, it was all too obvious the matter was one he found most... annoying. After all, his mother was a failure of a Queen, something she had cursed him with; she had rejected her imprint for another male, a male who was hardly anything let alone a father and then, she had moved on or so they said. Three mates and yet only three children worth anything. Her forgiveness had never been needed by Tesseract - the only reason he had not intended to have her killed was for Caligula's sake. She loved her mother and thus, he was obliged to keep the witch around. Perhaps it was petty of him, perhaps his opinion was skewed and yet it didn't matter. Forgiveness was not needed - it was simply a luxury.

"If your mother cannot forgive you then she is no mother."

His voice was flat as he stared out over the landscape, his brows furrowing into a dark frown. No, he did not like to put so much thought into his mother and he was fast to dismiss it, shaking himself mentally and ridding himself of her. Besides, this boy - this Bane - he was interesting, something more worthy of Tesseract's attentions. Yes, he had made a good decision when he had left the den this evening and he had made an even better one when he had sat with the son of a man he had once challenged. When he spoke of his sister, Tesseract could not help but laugh, shaking his head slowly and peeling his lips up into a smile.

"You could say that. Three brothers, two sisters, two mate's later and my mother couldn't even keep the throne she'd wanted so badly."

He dared not give Bane the key to ruling a bloodline - the slow, systematic destruction of all relations save those who were deemed worthy. Only Vidar and Ska remained as far as he was concerned though perhaps Vidar had merited some kind of savior-ship from Tesseract. The boy had, after all, put up quite a fight and knew he belonged on the bottom. Ska? She'd been an obnoxious thing, a stain on a family that had been intelligent. That was a secret best kept from those that did not know how to... get away with it so well. The boy is quick to pull him away from such thoughts, meriting yet another dip of skull and flash of a toothy grin. Charmed, indeed.

"That is because seldom are those like us that wish to change such a thing. Many are too content being pushed around by their families, no?"

He tilted his head, raising his brows expectantly. You tell him, Bane. Were you okay with being pushed around so endlessly?
