News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

He Who Chases The River

The Great Mother Earth was a forgiving soul. She knew that her children were strong and independent which meant that not many of them really needed her help. But there were sometimes when the instinct she blessed her children with wasn't enough. There were times with the emotional scars ran so deep that no amount of healing could fix the damage. Such was the way with He Who Chases The River. Long ago, he had lived in Old Moladion with his beloved imprint Hazard and their four healthy pups. He wouldn't have traded his life for anything and felt more pride and happiness than any other wolf. But when Fate was angered and the world was turned to fire and ash, He Who Chases The River had lost everything. His beloved had perished along with their children and the wolf had been left alone. Unable to comprehend what had happened, He Who Chases The River had left Moladion and returned to his home land to live, once again, the life of a true wolf. Here he stayed for many years. And here was where Mother Earth helped heal the scars of the past by allowing the wolf to forget everything about Old Moladion. He had forgotten the name Boneclaw had given him and returned to his old life. It was like being reborn and He Who Chases The River was happy again, but he never felt complete.

Which was probably why he found himself here now. For as long as the wolf could remember, of the things Mother Earth had allowed him to remember, he had always had an attachment to water. When he was a pup, he had played along the riverside, always running with the current and barking happily. He had been named He Who Chases The River and deemed that all rivers were his brother, Brother River. The wolf never strayed too far from the rivers of the world and could often be found following one along the banks or in the shallows. One day, He Who Chases The River listed to his brother who told him of a place he could go, a place he needed to be. Like any good brother, the wolf followed and for days the two moved south towards the land of New Moladion. The scents in the air declared that there were hundreds of wolves living here and while some of them should ring a bell in his mind, He Who Chases The River did not notice them. He simply followed Brother River until it brought him to the base of a long, tall mountain range. The river, called Aplos Riverside here, flowed down from the high peaks of the mountains but it was clear that the snow had caused the banks to lengthen more than they would be in the spring. This is the place where Brother River had taken him. A place now called Spirane. Little did the strange wolf know that this was to be his home soon.

Up he climbed, towards the scent of a pack. His heart beat inside of his chest as he started to feel a sense of welcome, like he had been here before, like this was home, a place to belong. The wolf moved with skill and ease over the slippery rocks and cold snow until the pack lands were before him. The scent was strong marking the border to the pack. He Who chases The River stopped here and gazed around. A sound echoed from close by and the lone wolf turned his head to see a small pup playing alone on some rocks. Tilting his head to the side, He Who Chases The River moved along the border to get a better view of the child. He seemed strong and fit and was brave enough to play on his own. That meant there was safety and plenty of food to go around in this pack. It didn't look like the pup had seen him yet, so he let out a little bark to get his attention. Bark, Bark, Bark. It was an introduction as well as a summon to any adult nearby. Bark, it rang something within his mind. Bark, yes, that had been a name for him at one point. He Who Chases The River. Bark. They were one in the same. Bark had come back to Moladion and was ready to start his new life!
