News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

What was her purpose here? Snowshoe didn't really know but she aimed to figure it all out. Life was something different here and she knew it. It was familiar in a sense though; she'd been here. Where though? Hidden in the shadows? Sheltered away? Perhaps and maybe that was where she'd been comfortable, for a little while anyway. Things were changing though and they had been for some time. Perhaps it was the moment to come out of her sheltered hiding and make her existence known. It couldn't really hurt after all. It wasn't like she had to remain a stranger forever. No, that was no life at all and it surely wasn't how she wanted to remain. She was a social butterfly when it came right down to it. She always had been actually.

Sighing quietly and bringing her nose to the ground, the pale she-wolf found herself moving. A soft trot bringing huge paws to strike the ground in a light rhythm. Ebony mask bathed her eyes in such a contrast. Snowshoe was a pretty female or she'd like to think so anyway. She wasn't bad to look at and she wasn't marred with scars or wounds. Flawless? Perhaps that was a good term for it. Strong and capable; softly muscled even. A good specimen for a pack for sure. Where to even go though? Seek the free-lands out or a pack? At this point; she was too social to sit around and wait for someone to find interest in a lone female. No, she'd go straight for a pack but which one?

Having been scoping them out for a little while, she thought a decision had been made. Making her way in that direction, she thought on the landscape. It seemed lush with vegetation and clearly a good place to try. What were they like though; the wolves who called Spirane home? They had such a nice place to find their territory within that, why wouldn't she want to seek them out? Where would she be if she remained alone? A wolf could hunt for one if they must and live alone. The life of a loner was not Snowshoe's own though. She didn't like being alone for long periods of time and clearly, that time had come to an end. It had been too long honestly and she found displeasure in that. Hopefully the wolves here were decent and hospitable.

Pausing just outside of their boundaries, she wouldn't cross them without invitation. No, the wolf knew better than that. She wasn't a fool. She wouldn't get herself into trouble or worse, injured. One didn't go looking for an attack if they were not aggressive. She sought friendship and family; a pack. Was that so horrible? The pale creature didn't think so and so; she glanced around. It was quiet but the scents were strong. They clearly scanned the boundary lines daily and this pleased her. An active pack meant that there were wolves who cared about their own and their home. She smelled several of them too and this pleased her as well. Somewhat cautious and curious, Snowshoe let a howl slip from her agape jaws. As the notes rang higher and then faded to silence, her rich gaze searched again. Snowshoe waited now, watching and hoping. Her tail is half-mast and her ears are pointed forward. She is curious but clearly showing no dominance here. No, one would again; be a fool to show dominance in a pack they were not even a part of. This was not a dominant wolf; this was a loner looking for something more. She wanted a pack; a family. Would she find it here? Snowshoe would have to just wait and see.

Meanwhile; her gaze swept around her to take in the scenery. It was the chillier months and the landscape was littered with white. Snowy drifts and white pines. If you looked hard enough, there were lush blades of grass beneath the heavy snow. One had to dig though and wolves really had no reason to go looking for the greenery. They were carnivores after all and didn't eat the vegetation. Well, unless they had an upset stomach and Snowshoe did not. she wasn't particularly hungry at the moment either and had no reason to find something to eat. Not that she'd go looking in the territory anyway. That is; not until she was invited in under friendly circumstances. For now; she would merely wait. Take in the scents and the sights. Nothing wrong with appreciating what the eyes and the nose could find right. Hopefully it wouldn't be a long wait though. No, she was rather eager to find others and who could blame her?
