Mondego did not bother to look back and assess the expression, or lack thereof, on the female’s face. He did not care. With the injuries she was sporting, still rather fresh, he had no doubt she had felt his little graze more than she would be willing to show. It mattered little what she chose to display, only what she chose to do. From the corner of his blue haloed rubies, it did not appear as if she was going to strike out at him. A shame… she need only give him a reason and he would be more than happy to drop her pre-mangled body to the ground. He was not beyond striking the wounded or a woman so long as he had a reason for it.

The large wolf continued down his path as Vera circled around him, seemingly undisturbed even as she swept by him. As with the time before, he did not slow down as she placed herself squarely ahead of him and, this time, he did not bother to shift to one side or another. His royal rimmed eyes locked onto her gaze and this time he did not remove them. Perhaps, before, he would not give her the privilege of his attention, but her stubborn will had at least earned it this time. The expression in his stare, despite the steely composure of his face, hinted with amusement that she may actually regret that fact. No matter what this fem thought, he would be no different here than he had been in Hell. Whatever rule Ishtar was running in these lands did not change the fact that he was still a demon and would act as such. He would not submit; he would not give in. If he had to vie for his status here, then so be it. He would make this wench crawl before him whether it be by her own submission or by force.

He met the flame licked female head on, tilting only his head and neck a bit to the side so that their chests met at full force. She may have only been a few inches shorter than him, still tall for a female, but he had close to eighty pounds over her and was already moving. As much as she pushed against him and his inertia, the very laws of physics were against her. As they collided, Mondego used his greater force to act against Vera’s bracing, pushing forward with his right shoulder into hers. In a quick motion, he parted his jaws and made to take hold of her neck just before the shoulders. He made no sound, no growl or grunt, adamant that she not be given even that small bit of satisfaction.

Hit: Mondego’s jaws clasp down on the thick tissue at the base of Vera’s neck, locking a solid grip on her. He swings his back end around so that they are parallel, slamming his right hip into her left to further askew Vera’s balance as he wrenches hard on her scruff down and to her left, trying to force her to the ground in supine position. He will not be tying to really hurt her more than she already is, just force her into submission. She is one of Ishtar’s wolves and so he wouldn’t do more harm than necessary at this point.

Dodge: Mondego moves with Vera, attempting to keep contact between their chests and to keep them squarely facing each other. It’s like dancing; if she moves, so does he in an equal and opposite manner. He does not intend to give her breathing room.
