Oh, I was just so happy to have her back! I couldn't stop my tail from buffeting the air, it's constant waving making the wind whine behind me. I ran around her, so excited that she was here, her question almost went unanswered. "I was playing with you in the water, when I splashed, you disappeared, but when I was still you came back. Does that mean you want me to be still?" I stopped moving, my paws still dancing under me excitedly, I couldn't help but to move around like this, my happiness was too great. I felt all airy and bubbly and stuff. I know I am too old to be acting like I am, but excitement is what it is.
She starts another question, watching my sister as she peered into the water. I come up next to her and smile, finding her reflection in the water under me. I don't really put two and two together so easily, I guess it is a flaw, but soon the realization hits and my mismatched eyes widen. "That wasn't you in the water...was it?" I make a small pout, only small because I have the real Aela here with me now. I grin, my face becoming joyous once more. "If I see you when I look in the water, does that mean you see me? And if we see each other in the water, then we are never really alone right, 'cause I really don't like being alone.." My voice is rather uncharacteristically solemn toward the end, dark ears turning back.
I look to Aela then, realizing that my realization was true and that I really did look like what she saw when she looked in the water. It was...kind of cool. I always thought we looked the same, but really we looked like each other, which is strange when you really think about it. To not look like one's self is a strange thing. Maybe we are like, special or something. "I look like you, and you look like me..Neat!" My eyes shut and my face gets happy as I let a big grin cross my face, I am so glad to have her back. I want to play, but I reserve my energy, in case she wanted to move or something.
