Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

ACE

Grass. Grass didn’t do so well when it was covered in snow, Ace noticed. It happened a lot, at least it had in recent events. Snow seemed to cover everything. That was what seemed… legit. As legit as things could seem when there was very little that she could follow at all. Ace didn’t really know what she was trying to get at. She really didn’t know how she felt about this snow business either. That was enough to make her think, at least. Snow made her think. Why did it come from the sky like that? She was watching the snow as it came down.

The creature had a habit of watching. She liked to watch things from the outside. On the outside, you weren’t expected to talk. You could listen and analyze from the outside looking in if you really wanted to. She wanted to. Maybe, if she tried real hard, she could talk to the snow. That was stupid. She was being stupid again, oops. Ace forgot that maybe being stupid wasn’t the best idea. It was stupid to talk to the snow. The snow didn’t have ears, it couldn’t hear. At least if it couldn’t hear, it wouldn’t talk back to her. Ace wouldn’t be required to hold a conversation.

It was a bleak, grey day that surrounded her, but at least there was the snow to keep her company. At least she had the snow. She was fairly certain that she didn’t quite like the snow, but you couldn’t choose the weather. It was like not being able to choose your family. The creature had found that a lot of people didn’t really like their families, but they couldn’t pick them, so there wasn’t a lot to do about it. They still spoke to their families. Maybe it didn’t matter what you liked and what you didn’t, the universe would push against you anyway.
