Susil Crags

Disaster has struck!
The Crags are a series of rocky formations with small caves and crevices throughout. Many of the lower-lying areas of the Crags have been flooded, however, with water pouring in from the Northern stretches of Moladion. Some paths have been completely submerged, and some are nothing more than a few rocky peaks sticking out of the water. The water is fairly slow moving but begins to pick speed up towards the Grotto, becoming a series of intense rapids and waterfalls as it nears the Grotto's entrance.

The area itself is still traversible. However, it can be risky. Large amounts of debris can enter the waterway, creating bridges at times but also creating dams that break and cause ocassional flash-flooding. Be careful, travelers! One wrong step and you could end up finding out where the water goes.

Perhaps she should have been a bit more considerate with her body language. Her tensed muscles and semi-shaking frame must have put off the wrong vibe about the girl. It was true that they had snuck up on her at a weird time, what with being very new to these lands and not knowing her way around to only having a half of a rabbit two days ago. It was survival of the fittest here, natural selection was at play. Adina didn’t have time to explain herself before they were introducing themselves as the MacRieve brothers. Brothers but no first names. However, Adina was considerate to them. Some were personal with their names, and with accents like theirs she assumed she wouldn’t be able to pronounce either of them correctly anyway. She had enough trouble with speaking and sounding comprehensive as it stood, what with the slight shake in her voice and the heavy sass already being displayed without her even trying.

It was well into the afternoon now, about five hours until sunset she guessed. The crags by night were dangerous when you couldn’t see the correct footing and that posed a particular danger to the white girl. Unbeknownst to her, the two brothers were skilled in navigating the crags and could endure much more than she could by a landslide.

The snort from the first MacRieve brother caught her attention. Her brow furrowed in confusion. Had she insulted them or was he just being mysterious? She cocked her head to the side then, listening to the talkative brother speak and smiling at his words. “Well I suppose it’s a good thing I’m not dead yet. Blood attracts unwanted attention.” She paused to look at brother one now, giving him the sweetest look she could muster as to show that she was not ignoring him nor did she mean to insult him in any way. “I am. Fresh from the north.”

How the second MacRieve brother looked at her in that kind of mocking way made her shake her head in disagreement. “No no. You two seem very nice. It’s just…you know…female intuition to be wary of others when she’s so new herself.” It was the cold wind that brought her out of the charming personality. It felt like it would snow again at any time, making the rocks that were already slick even slicker. Her head turned to look behind her and in the distance she saw the snowflakes drifting. Maybe this would be the last snowfall of the season, as spring was quick to approach.

“Snow’s heading this way. You two don’t have to worry about being buried by it…but we short wolves do.” Adina curled her lips back into a makeshift smile. “Would you boys like to accompany in a run down the crag?” A stupid suggestion none the less, but when you ran as a unit you seemed more connected with said unit. Maybe this would but quite an unlikely friendship between the white girl and the black brothers.
