The Devil's got a rifle on my front porch
Perhaps they were more alike than she knew - it was moments like that, that she needed some kind of telepathic ability. Her parents, of course, had been reliable (and still were) but brotherly love? Well, even she heard the whispers of such a thing. Whether or not she was inclined to believe that she was the product of two siblings, well, that was debatable. In her mind, it hardly mattered anyway. Maradona was beautiful and intelligent, Octavia too, and whereas she was certainly the most beautiful and intelligent, that was proof enough that it didn't matter what her parents had been just that they were her parents. The best parents - ever. It's just a shame she wasn't generous enough to share them else she would have dragged Delya all the way home to experience having such a thing. Well, if she had known at least.
All Cersei knew right then and there is that the girl had listened, showing off her ability to leap more gracefully than she. Cersei had to know, had to be better, at leaping up, up and away. She wanted to be able to leap up and down trees. She wanted to do everything that the others could do, just better. Of course, such a thing hadn't really worked in her favor - not yet, at least - and she took but a minute to steady herself before puffing up proudly.
"It's a pleasure, Delya."
She tried the accent and it felt awful on her tongue - she even licked her lips trying to rid the odd feeling. Another thing she had to perfect, right? She did like the sound of it. Could something like that be learnt? Well, she'd have to find out once she learnt how to be a leaping goddess like the other girl. Yes, she smiled over the prospect, staring off into space momentarily as she imagined it. But then suddenly the lesson had begun and her eyes were fixated on the way the girl rocked back, sending herself forward. Momentum. Right.
She breathed out, heavy and determined, as she moved back until her feet were but nearly off the edge. Then, she tilted slightly, running forward a step or two before throwing herself forward to the rock Delya had previously been on. For a moment, she panicked as she saw the world (only) six feet below flash by but soon enough, her paws collided with the stone. And damn did she do her best to cling to the surface, her blunt claws scratching along. Honestly, she knew she looked ridiculous when she landed - fur puffed up, eyes wide and yet, she laughed loudly, joyously. For that second of terror, it was worth it. It felt good to leap above the world like that.
"Oh yeah! I did it! Well, you do it better but still, I did it."
Just admitting the girl did it better was an improvement but she still smiled darkly, just trying to work out how long it'd take to become the best at such an art. Soon enough though, she flicked her ears and blinked away her grin, replacing it with something a little more pleasant as she met the girl's gaze again with a cocked head.
"So, where are you from? I used to live around here but I've never seen you around."
