My c o l d desire
to hear the boom, boom,
b o o m of your heart
To Caligula, family was everything. Well, at least those worthy of family. She had the tendency to kill off the half-blooded creatures that Ruvindra tried to pass off as brothers and sisters to Caligula. In her mind, the only proper relationship was the one between souls. And in Caligula's mind, she had been born with her other half. Tesseract was her equal and complement. Where he was weak she was strong, and where she was weak he rose up to meet the challenge. Her mother had instilled one rule in her--to protect the ones we love. And Caligula did protect the ones she loved, it just seemed that her mother had a bigger capacity for love than the mute night goddess before him.
She stays motionless and locks onto the irish colored eyes. She did not waver she did not move a muscle. Her own fur along her spine bristles, involuntary. She got along with Jumanji just fine, but she would defend what was hers. He lays his ears back for a moment and for now that was enough of a submission that her own stance relaxed a bit. That tail was still arched over her haunches but it now swayed in the winter breezes, and her fur slowly smoothed itself out. Caligula's muscles relax and she moves forward to meet him and take in his own scent. He was no stranger to her, and no doubt Tesseract may have felt threatened by Jumanji if she had come into season again. Yet, she was decidedly pregnant though she did not show it quite yet.
She looks at him as he demands her brother. Caligula's eyes show the bright amusement of someone that called her out on the taboo that so few were either willing to acknowledge or willing to do anything about. She considers him with her navy and lavender eyes, before a small smile finds itself on her features. What was going on behind those eyes? Well, Jumanji would never truly know as they were not quite good enough friends for him to interpret the subtle changes in body language. Still, she was not afraid to admit that Tesseract was her brother. But he was also her lover. Her friend. Her accomplice. The father of her children. He was everything to her and she was everything to him. Their codependency could almost be unhealthy if they did not function as well as they did.
She knew where Tesseract was, exploring the beach. He wanted desperately to provide his daughters with the answers they so sought from the mysteries they found on the beaches. She motions to Jumanji for him to follow her with a toss of her head and then heads south. She did not wait for him to follow, instead she continued on, slipping between pines and eventually onto more open land. When she got to the dunes, she paused for a moment, and allowed the salt air to fill her lungs before she exhaled. The mismatched eyes looked at Jumanji for a moment to make sure he was still behind her before scanning the beaches for her Sun Prince. She moved between the large dunes and onto the beach itself. The water was far too cold for her to go into, but she moved closer to it anyways. The sand was cool beneath her paws and she saw Tesseract in the distance. She did not wait for Jumanji and instead trotted off towards he brother.
