News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

restless: i found your weakness

Paldor could shoo, hiss and spit all he damn well wanted to but Ruvindra had no intentions on going anywhere. Whereas she certainly felt the pain of war, she was in far better shape than her mate and for once, it was time - she had decided - that they'd acted like mates. They'd always been one another's ghost but for once, she was fine with having him be the solid one and she the transparent force that kept him upright. It was a moment like that, that truly made her wish she'd actually partaken in the Healing training far back in Trenus rather than squandering the chance. Maybe she would have at least known how to keep him more firmly upright or what exactly it was that was making him walk like a total wounded deer. Ah, she'd been such an idiot in the past and it had finally caught up to her. At least she was trying though, right? Yes, right.

It did indeed seem like forever on her end before they made it, his form collapsing into the den like the bag of trinkets he so often carried. She couldn't help but make the connection, a tiny smile pulling at the corner of her lip. How strange that she was so comfortable now with being the one responsible again, for being the one who another relied on. She liked it and she only wished they could be like that more often, though in a less brutal way she hoped. She'd just be happy feeding him and the children, feeling important in another's life for a moment. It was easy to push away the pain when another needed her.

She leaned in close as he spoke, reaching over him with her muzzle and examining each wound as her ears swiveled towards him. The list seemed simple enough - they were common things, nothing too tricky. Isn't that what he had done to her after Devil May Cry had attacked? She nodded to confirm itself before backing out, licking once more at his muzzle in a moment of affection. Then, of course, he had to bring up his tail. She sighed, trying to keep her mouth straight as she peered behind him at the crooked mess of a thing. Well, she couldn't really lie about that, could she?

"Let's just say... it definitely makes you look more rugged, huh?"

She paused briefly, a brow rising up slowly in jest. Perhaps it was poor timing to attempt to lighten the mood and she was soon reminded as another sharp pain rose over her scruff. She gritted her teeth briefly before attempting to compose herself, taking another peek at the bent appendage.

"It's crooked, well an truly. Is there anything I can do for that?"

The only answer she had was to step on it, or attempt to replicate (in reverse) whatever attack had caused the damage. Neither of those ideas sounded particularly good and she wasn't sure she could intentionally do such a thing to her chosen mate... particularly not with the risk of any of their children appearing at any time. Ah, yes, that's why she had to work fast. With that in mind, she gave Paldor one more decisive nod before pivoting and heading off in the direction of their old dens. Despite the sharpness of the pain that rose along her side and over her scruff, she dare not hesitate. It'd been Vainglory and Wraith that'd found her the first time and honestly, she wasn't quite prepared for either of them - and particularly not Istas! - to find both of them in such a state. If they did, at least she was semi presentable. She'd have to keep their father away from them for a little while, though.

It took her but a few minutes jog to return to their old home, now dusted and half caved in. First thing was first and, probably against Paldor's wishes, she grabbed the bone bag of Paldor's, dragging it out and filling it with the seeds, yucca and alfalfa. Surely it was multipurpose, right? Well, if she pissed off any spirits then so be it. It was worth getting her mate well and truly better and honestly, she was pretty certain she could beat fate again if she had to. As for her old den, the mouth was accessible and she slid in, being met with the smell of stagnant water and... moss! Slowly, she began to pull up the growths, placing them gently into the bone bag and attempting to gather the web. The web was the trickiest to gather, sticking all over her muzzle and ears before she could successfully capture it on the moss. She'd growled and huffed enough times in frustration before backing out for good, grabbing the bone bag as Paldor did and going on her way.

It was... a longer journey back, her eyes wide with panic each time the bag swung awkwardly beneath her jaw. It was terrifying to think of how easily it could just topple out or spill its guts. Thankfully, and something she took as a good sign, it did not and she was able to place it at her mate's paws with a rather self impressed smile. She was sure he'd be able to find the poppy seeds among the trinkets and bones - he'd have to because she wasn't too good at being gentle and without hesitation, she had begun to clean at his wounds. Just like he said, she dabbed the moss onto the punctures, sticking them down with a combination of saliva, web and fur. It was unsightly - he'd definitely be kept away from Istas' poor eyes - but it was effective, for she could already see the blood slowing its escape.

"I did a good job if I don't say so myself. Perhaps I should learn to do this more professionally."

She shrugged, biting down when her scruff reminded her. Reluctantly, she too found the seeds floating among the trinkets, chewing them down though they tasted just awful. With a dissatisfied huff, she lowered down to lay before him, resting her head atop her paws and just.. watched.

"Are you going to be okay? I can go somewhere else and find a better healer if you need me to."

She didn't know where to go or who to find, but she'd damn well find somebody.

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Envoy
The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. Trains the teachers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Snoop
The head spy in Iromar. Skilled in maneuverability and blending in, this wolf must be a shadow when called upon. Tasked with finding out information about other packs or wolves when called upon, this wolf must be quick as well as witty, able to make anyone believe anything. Also serves as a thief when the need arises. Trains the spies and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Chronicler
The head story teller of Iromar. This wolf has done their research on all things Iromar and Moladian. They can give a good history lesson or spin a tale on demand when the younger minds call for distraction. Able to captivate an audience. May even help with speeches for the Monarch when necessary. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
Warriors- Members of the Iromar army. Skilled in combat and overseen by the Trooper.
Hunters- Providers for Iromar. Skilled in scavenging and hunting.
Healers- Doctors of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine for those in need.
Diplomats- Extroverts of Iromar. Skilled in politics and overall conversation.
Spies- Scouts and thieves of Iromar. Skilled in blending in and masking themselves when called upon.
Teachers- Guardians of the youth of Iromar. Skilled in defense and culture. They shape the young minds of the future.
Children-The pups of Iromar. To be cherished as they are precious for the future of the land. Shape them and mold them into something we can all be proud of.
Members- Overall pack members of Iromar. Not specialized in a particular field yet but just as important to the population.
