Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The world we knew won't come back

This world will never be what I expected
And if I don't belong who would have guessed it

I want nothing to do with war and conflict. An ear is drawn back to the den where my mate sleeps, my heterochromic eyes keeping out a vigilant watch. My frame is blocking the entrance of the den just in case someone tried to get around me. Such a thing I cannot allow. I have something I need to protect. I refuse to let anyone touch what is mind, unless they want the pleasure of my fangs ripping the life from their bodies.

I can hear her breathing from within the confines of her chosen den and it is my most important and solitary duty to keep watch of her, and protect her above all else. Heterochromic eyes always keep watch. Watching so I can protect what is mine. Silken silver fur moves and slides with muscles as I shift my position. I cast a single look over my shoulder before I shift again. I had to move to keep my muscles from stiffening but I would not stray far. I move forward at a slower lope, ears pricked and alert for the smallest sound as I map out the area around the den. I know she will come to no harm because I am right around the corner and she is no helpless pup. If anything happened to her my heart would shatter, I would die an emotional death, and somehow that seems all too familiar. I have been through something like that before.

I won't go back to being unable to feel a thing. I am checking the scents around this place, seeing who or what has been here besides me and my mate. I seem to have circled back to the entrance of the den we share while in the midst of thought. Tail waves behind me as I make my way back inside only to find she had ventured outside. Maybe she had gone out to find me, or just needed to walk, no I cannot blame her for that. I poke my head back out of the den, ears twitching, hoping to at least catch a glimpse of her. Nothing meets my eyes. I ease back on my haunches and decide that I will simply wait for her to return, or maybe someone else may come by.

S O U S H I

In my dreams last night I saw your face
I’m living a lie but I love the way you need me
