The things he talked about were strange from the mainland and although many horses came and went from there Yindy was glad she had never given in to that temptation. Instead she had hidden among the shadows of the island, concealing herself from others until she was ready to reemerge and try again. The last time she had been left she had wondered why she had come out at all but now she knew why because if she had not she would have never been here to see her brother again.


“yes, of course I’ll go back to Luthien with you”


Though most of it was because she did not want to lose sight of her brother again, another part of her reminded the mother to be of the foal she was carrying. This wasteland would not be a very fitting place to raise a child and although she had been prepared too she would be more than happy to conceal them among the vegetation of Luthien. It also pleased her that the foal would have a stallion in its life. Even if it was her brother instead of the father it would make it easier and also give them the benefits that only a male could give.


“I’m ready, shall we go?”


Taking a step away and back towards the waters he had come from, Yindy cast her gaze back to him. She was a strong mare but the extra weight would be a task. The golden woman was not used to carrying a child and hoped that this trip would not be her last.
