Eyelid turning out is also called entropion and is a common problem with lower eyelid surgery. Most patient have a certain degree of entropion after lower eyelid surgery especially if the skin has been removed but most should return to normal within a week or two. However, if the operation were performed by inexperienced personnel with too much skin removed the resulting entropion may be permanent and necessitates further surgical correction. Your problem has been around for 6 weeks so you must see an eye surgeon who specializes in eyelid or a plastic surgeon to find out if further surgery is needed. Replies: There have been no replies.
