Summer has arrived. The world has been well at peace, and others seem to be trying to take advantage. They believe we are lazy and complacent. We are no such thing. Remain vigilante, friends and family.

I am being most pleased to bring such delight to another, though indeed I am hoping most surely he is not waking the entire pack with his happiness, the boy bounding ahead of myself to dance atop the ice and snow, tail waving with a fierceness most great that it surely created it’s own breeze before he threw his head high to howl into the sky, the call echoing across Diveen, my own ears pricking forward to hear the howls the echoed back. Well…..I am thinking that perhaps my quiet return to the pack has been being spoiled this night, though I am not minding so very much, his happiness is a pleasing thing, the humour and life and energy within youth is delightful and indeed I find my own tail waving a moment as I spoke, offering the story of Diveen, or indeed, parts of this thing to the boy. He is a child after all, a wolf most young and I am thinking he should like to hear such stories, children often do, though truly I hoped his howl did not summon the border patrol this night. I am being most sure it is Azrael who stalks within the darkness this evening and I have little desire to deal with my Brother. Not tonight. I am loving him dearly, truly, yet he is guarded and wary of all who are new and I do not desire to have Nootau scared this night for my Brother is a wolf most large, most towering, a good six inches taller then myself and far, far heavier, the largest of the Angels born. I am thinking also he is having the largest mouth.
I smiled gently at these words he spoke, delicate features alight beneath the pale glow of the moon as we walked across the plain of my home. The words he offered were being most sweet, most kind and I sought not to speak of the true sadness of Trenus and Paracon. Trenus, a pack so large, a pack over eighty in number and indeed Heyel and Yojimbo saved many….yet, so very, very many died too. Just as the wolves of Paracon, though it was not so large, they too lost wolves, Diveen is made of those who survived and those who sought to join us afterwards. This is what I desire to think of, the greatness this pack became from a thing so terrible, the glory that awaits it, the new life to be born in the spring. I will never, never forget those who are dying, yet, I seek only to look forward, not back and indeed I choose not to speak of this now, simply to nod to his words as he offers them.
“This is a thing most lovely you say and I am thanking you for it. I am thinking the sky has many spaces, for many wolves.”
I smiled once more before the sound of another, soft upon the snow, drew my attention, the wind carrying with it a scent a new most well, a scent I had loved since the earliest of my days. My Kane. My mate. Indeed it is that a whine of pleasure itself rumbled within my throat, tail waving and eyes lacing back in this moment in a gesture one such as myself gives only to he whom is equal, he whom stands beside me, he whom I love above all things that I love, father of my children and mate of my heart. He moves to nod in greeting to Nootau, to myself, my own head dipping slightly as I moved to embrace him, his form rubbed along my sides, the charcoal of his pelt blending with the snow of my own, his form towering and dark, so much larger then my own, taller, thicker, heavy with the muscle of his blood and breeding as his nose presses against my own and my tongue is given to sweep against his muzzle as his does my own in a gesture of affection, of mateship as Kane moved to answer the question Nootau asked. The words of my Kane brought a gentle smile to my lips and a chuckle to my throat. These things he says make my features feel heated indeed, as if I am but a child again, a silly girl given to giggle at the words of a boy. I pressed against him once more, sure now indeed that Nootau had discovered to whom he spoke, that I indeed was the Queen he asked after though I had not stated it as such. I like to know others before they know me, I like to be treated as wolf, not Alphess, to see who and what those I meet truly are when they do not hide behind submission and a desire to please me. I allowed my eyes to drift to Nootau once more, speaking softly again.
“These kings most great, these Kings of old who were as brothers were being bound together in ways more then one, yes. The great Warrior King of Paracon had a son most lovely, the prettiest of all boys with a pelt like night and eyes of sun and sky and indeed it is being said that The King of Angels, the great leader of the Trenus Empire is having a daughter, she was being…..ok to look at.”
I grinned once more at my Kane, teasing now at him and at myself as I offered Nootau this story once more, pleased at his company this night, pleased to share these things with him.
“When the packs still stood, this prince and princess, they is meeting one day within the rivers of Paracon, before either was even a year old, they is meeting and this princess she is thinking perhaps, from this very first day, that she is knowing what she desires, that she is knowing so very young that she has met the one she will stand with for always. When the sky feel and the packs joined it was that this prince and this princess, together, brought together the pack of Diveen to become it’s King and it’s Queen and bind Trenus and Paracon. My Kane and I have ruled since this day, Nootau.”
I smiled once more at the boy as I sat beside my Kane, with his eyes of sun and sky, eyes I had loved all my life for indeed I was lucky as others are not, I was only months old when I met my Kane, when it was I knew he would be my own. We have been together since that day, we were together as children and now our own children play while our fathers, these kings of old, Devil May Cry and Heyel, watch from the shadows.
“You are welcome in Diveen, Nootau, to stay for as long as you desire, to visit whenever you may choose or to live for always if that is what you wish. Come, we will find a den for you this night and if you like, within the morning, I will introduce you to some of pack.”

Lightning Queen
The Queen of Diveen. She may accept all challenges and block any steal. She is the sworn protector of the pack and all who reside here.
Thunder King
The Lightning Queen's mate and second-in-comman. He may accept any challenge and block all steals. He may accept new members. This position cannot be challenged for but is currently empty.
Whirlwind
This rank belongs to the closest advisor to the Lightning Queen. This wolf can block steals and accept new members. When there is no Thunder King, this rank may accept challenges. This rank cannot be challenged for.
Stormfront
These wolves are the protectors of the borders and are personal guards to the Lightning Queen. They may help to gauge new wolves and are essentially the domestic protector. In certain times they may be called upon to resolve domestic disputes, but generally they are tasked with watching the borders or staying close to the Lightning Queen. At times, information may need to be brought to the Stormfront who will personally deliver messages to the Lightning Queen.
Quake
The Quake is the lead warrior and in charge of the Tremors, who make up the brute force of the pack. This wolf is a protector of the borders and may accept new wolves. They may be called upon to help gauge a new member. They train the Tremors. Haze
The Haze is the head thief and secret keeper of the pack, charged with acting in the pack’s best interest and operating with a low profile. They train the Mists. They also act as a scout, relaying and finding out information. They work closely with the Tsunami. This wolf may block steals. Monsoon
The Monsoon is the lead healer and caregiver of the pack. They are tasked with healing wounds, assisting with births, and making sure that the pack remains happy and healthy both mentally and physically. They may also be called upon to boost morale through storytelling or other means. They train the Rains. Tsunami
The Tsunami is the lead diplomat and peacekeeper, tasked with protecting the pack from internal and external strife, as well as form treaties and ally with other packs in conjunction with the Lightning Queen and Whirlwind. They report directly to the Lightning Queen, and train the Tides. Blizzard
The Blizzard works closely with the Haze, but is more of an information gatherer. They may act as a thief at times, but are largely tasked with spying and scouting, reporting their findings to their superiors. Hurricane
The Hurricane is the head hunter of the pack. They train the Wind and organize pack hunts.
Rainbow
This wolf is the joker of the pack. Their job is to bring a smile to everyone's face and try to keep a light mood. They will be tasked with caring for pups and keeping an eye on them. They are the keeper of all types of fun and games for the pack. Gale
The Gale is concerned mostly with keeping track of the history of the pack, collecting stories and learning of events that might have happened long ago. They might tell history as stories to pups or create events in honor of those who have gone before.
Tremors
These wolves report to the Quake and make up the protectors and warriors of the pack.
Mists
The agents of the Haze, these wolves are tasked with maintaining order through more secretive means.
Tides
The Tides are diplomats and report to the Tsunami, they may be tasked with updating treaties or contacting allies.
Rains
These are the healers and caregivers of the pack, and they report to the Monsoon. They may be called upon as healers or babysitters. Winds
These are the hunters of the pack, responsible for feeding each member. They report to the Hurricane. Snows
These are the scouts of the pack, reporting to the Blizzard- they are involved with information gathering, both internal and external, and may be called upon as guerilla fighters of sorts should the time come.
Dusk
The general members of the pack, those who have not yet chosen a path or rank. However, they are still highly valued and may be called upon for other things.
Twilight
The apprentices of the pack, pups older than one who are in training.
Dawn
The innocence and the future of our pack.
Day
Esteemed guests of the pack.
Sun
Those allied with the pack, to be treated with respect and offered assistance.
Moon
Those who shine down upon us and guide us with their light.
Eclipsed
Those who have proven themselves enemies of the pack, they should not be trusted.
