Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Chickadee was still getting used to the overpowering smell of the ocean and the roar of the waves. Even without such distractions, she wasn't particularly adept at keeping in tune to her surroundings. And so it was with her usual shiver of alarm that she turned her head toward the gangly-legged dark shadow. But upon seeing the young one, Chickadee found herself smiling warmly -- and as she rose to her feet, her modestly-tucked tail began to wag.

"Yes, Maradona! It's lovely to meet you." She felt a twinge of nervousness flick through her as she recognized the youngster she would be in charge of tutoring. It was a strange position to be in, given that she was still in training herself -- and in truth, Chicky thought of Maradona more of a potential companion than a formal charge. As Chickadee grew older, no doubt her thoughts would change as she took others under her wing; but for now, she was still young.

"Your father tells me you are to be an Ordine," she said softly. Chickadee took a hesitant step in the girl's direction, tilting her head. Her eyes were bright with excitement -- despite her initial feelings of doubt, Chicky was ecstatic to have been given such an important task. She cherished her duty greatly.

Still smiling, the auburn female carefully put together the question she was most curious to hear answered..

"What is it you find appealing about the position?"
