It worried him, the strained look that, despite her best efforts, she could not completely mask in those emotive eyes of hers. But Hush was not his to worry for. They were friends, yes, but it was quite clear that the male that sat beside her took full responsibility for her. After all, judging by what Sleekwing had come to know about Hush when they’d first met, he very highly doubted accepting the offer for shelter within the pack was her idea. It was far more likely that Sen had insisted upon it. He remained where he was as they both thanked him for the remains of the hare, though he now wished he had known that the two would be here upon his return. He would have saved the entire carcass for them. Alas, they both seemed pleased with the offer and Sen moved forward to grasp the kill and place it before Hush, plainly insisting that she indulge herself. Watching them, he felt almost as if he should look away. Their intimacy was palpable.

In return for his polite introduction, Sleekwing offered a cordial nod of his head. His eyes then traced back to Hush as she answered his question, and a smirk once more teased at his lips. She was fully devoted to him, this Sen fellow, and Sleekwing found himself inclined to like him on that basis alone. Looking back to Sen he let his smile broaden slightly. “Well, I suppose we could make an acception,” he said jokingly, ever trying to lighten the mood and brighten to the two wolves days. Their strife was apparent, and the gray creature simply wanted to offer them a chance at a happier day.

“Spirane would be most pleased to have you both,” he said on a more serious note, though his tones were still most affable. He pivoted his body then so that he stood somewhat beside and a few steps ahead of Hush. Glancing over his shoulder to her, he hoped she would take the hare in her jaws for consumption when they found a place they felt comfortable settling in for the night. “Come along, I’ll show you a cave where you might spend tonight so that you may rest before seeking out a place to call your own.” Only when they were ready did he begin to walk into the territory. “Welcome home.” He lead them towards a sheltered cave on the eastern side of the mountain, low in altitude so they would not have to go very far to reach it. It was a most temporary of fixes, but it would allow them time and comfort to eat and rest. When they arrived, he lingered only long enough to tell them to call upon him should they need anything, and then he was off, leaving them to one another’s company.
