Many wolves looking for relaxation come to Blossom Field. A gentle breeze vibrating the blossoming flowers is quite a sight to see and it is quite a favourite for wolves to come with their mates.

A recent fire has ruined the scenery, half the field covered with soot and marked with scars of the flames. The other half is untouched, however.

Many wolves came to Blossom Fields to relax. Sweyn did not come to this place for that reason. He didn't even know where he was, or how he got there. He'd been to busy bickering with Rabbit, who had since then whisped away. Out of sight. But not quite gone. Sweyn bent his muzzle down the sudden line between a beautiful paradise full of flowers and a sad little hell of scorched, scarred, and barren earth. Sweyn sniffed it like it was a border. Perhaps it was in some way.

Oh, by the first howls! I'm lost again. The grey brute let out a big huff! as he sat down heavily on the flowery ground, crushing the daisies and dandilions beneath him. Why did this always happen to Sweyn? Other wolves seemed to have a perfect sense of direction. Yet it seemed ever since Sweyn had left his former pack (wether he left it voluntarily or was exiled he didn't know; his memories were always getting confused with Rabbit's) the knowledge of where north or south or west or east was left him. I need to be paying more attention to the sun. He thought, absentmindedly staring off into the distance. Suddenly the line between Sweyn's real eyes and his Mind's Eye blurred. On the burnt side of the field a faint outline of a brownish wolf appeared, then vanished, then appeared again. Sweyn was both seeing and not seeing his companion at the same time. The wolf padded up to Sweyn.

“Hello, Sweyn! Nice to see you again!" Rabbit half-jeered, half-sang, "My, what's this lovely place? You aren't lost are you? Rabbit crouched down in a playful manner. "Hhh… NOT that it would matter where the hell YOU were. Pppppoor lonely wolf." Rabbit cocked his head to one side, grinning maniacally. Showing a bit too much fang.

Sweyn growled halfheartedly, then dropped his head down hopelessly. A growl still hung in his throat. Tickling him like a feather. Waiting to be released. "Rrrr… you think you can strut around wherever the heck you want, Rabbit. Mrwrblerrrr…" Sweyn grumbled under his breath, the last parts unintelligible jibberish. Rabbit let out a harsh laugh.

"Ha! We're both loonies, aren't we? Mmf!! And uh, I never left yooouuuuu." Rabbit said in a spazzy way. "You know, idiot, it takes more than a little nudge to take something that's been stuck in your mind away." Rabbit suddenly became serious, yet there was still a hint of a smirk on his kissers.

Sweyn stared at his maned companion. "Great howls, you are unpredictable, aren't you?"

"Speak for yourself, you looney." Rabbit stalked along the edges of the barren land and exhaled. His smelly breath blasted onto Sweyn's grey muzzle. "At least I'M not talking to a bare patch of earth."

Sweyn flicked his black-tipped tail in an annoyed manner. "Oh you. Shut up. I don't care what other people think. Or I used to. But now, guess what? I don't need you anymore. Surprise!" Sweyn grinned. Rabbit, however, flew into a rage. He rose above he ground and spat at Sweyn.

"Pcccah! Do not need me anymore! Shut up, you helpless little cub. Who's going to keep "Alfa Sane" when I am gone? Ppff! You should no by now that these visits are involuntary! Your wreck of a brain has made my existance a fact!" Rabbit howled. Sweyn crouched down.

"Rabbit, you call me an idiot. Speak for myssss… yourself! Smell, you dumb apparition, smell! See? Wolves all around me! This is a regular meeting spot!" Sweyn let out an excited giggle and cocked his head to one side. "REAL wolves Rabbit. No more pathetic apparitions." Sweyn made a sound in the back of his throat. He twirled around. In his Mind's Eye, that is. Rabbit, however, was not as happy about this fact. His russet paws touched the ground, wavered for a minute than blurred.

Rabbit, now no more than a faint outline, hissed, "I will come back. Like I said before, you can just shove me out of the way like some foolish, insignificant little thought. Just like those evil little thoughts you have that you always push away the moment you realize you have them, I'll keep coming back. Nagging you. These visits won't end, Sweyn. And by the by, who in their right mind (not saying that your's is) would walk up to a ludicrous lookin' wolf talking to thin air? No one. Enjoy hanging out with the loonies, Sweyn." Rabbit turned and walked into a sudden vortex.

Sweyn blinked. The vortex was gone. He let out a harsh laugh. Ha! That was dramatic. Too dramatic. Great howls, Rabbit your such a drama queen. Only a slight bit troubled by what his best friend had said, Sweyn turned around to greet whoever ventured out to meet the grey brute.

So exciting! I haven't seen a real wolf in moons. Sweyn thought eagerly, his eyes only showing a small glimmer of darkness. A glimmer you should pay attention to. It might come in handy later. For Sweyn or for others. Maybe even for Rabbit, too.
