Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

"There isn't." She stated firmly, vowing that if he ever laid a paw on the teenager she'd rip it off, her feelings for him be damned. That's how she was protecting her family; vicious. It was an eye for an eye when it come to them as far as she was concerned, and it didn't matter who harmed them, she'd go after them. It might take a while, but she'd get her revenge. She took attacks on her loved ones personally, and would do everything she could to keep them safe. Even if it was from another family member. She was different than him; depending on what the wolf had done she'd want them to suffer as she killed them. If they hurt her loved ones than they'd die especially slow and painfully, more so than anyone else. Kill or be killed, that was the way of the world, and be killed or kill for was the way of hers.

Her teeth had closed on his foreleg rather hard, drops of blood escaping from a few points of impact. Her ear twitched at his growl, guilt bubbling in her chest. That was weird. She only felt bad about spilled the blood of those she loved. Wait. Did that mean she loved him? A bolt of something shot through her stomach, she didn't know what it was but it was something. She'd decipher it it later, when she was safe and sound back in her cramped cold den where she could hyperventilate in peace. For now she contented herself with licking the limb better, cleaning the red from the white of his fur. She had cleaned many wounds, both hers and others, but never like this. She didn't have any experience dealing with the feelings, and so intended to distract herself with the blood. Blood she knew.

She felt him freeze and couldn't help the laugh that left her. Had she ever seen -felt- him freeze like that? It was only for a short time though before it was now her time to freeze, feeling him giving his own lick and returning the nuzzle. She didn't have any experience with that either. She'd never been in this situation before with anyone let alone someone she had, shudder, feelings for them. And then, of course, he had to complicate it more by speaking. She hadn't fully come out of her own freeze before she tensed again, panic and joy and something else assaulting her. Her heart jerked in her chest so hard it actually hurt. How did she respond to that?! She might've choked a little, though if he heard it or not she didn't care.

Thankfully, after his little speech he got up and she shot to her feet, backing a few steps away from him in the direction of Glorall. She constantly shifted her weight, one front paw lifting after the other, seeming to almost do a jig in place. She was nervous, though that was to be expected. She was highly suspicious of him, knowing that if she said no he'd follow her anyway. She couldn't have that, he might somehow jeopardize Glorall or cost her her rank or her apprentice. "I-I..." She started, tripping over her own words. She didn't know what to say, both sides of her warring for dominance. There had to be a way to appease both without them tearing her apart. There had to be. There just had to. "I won't promise anything, but I'll try...Okay?" She spoke slowly, choosing her words carefully. That was it! She signed a temporary armistice with herself, comprising the best she could. What would it be like to have someone else be the strong one, if only for a while? It was so exhausting, being strong constantly, and she didn't know just how tiring until the words left his mouth.

Gods, she was tired of it.
