Misty Mountain is opposite of Rainbow Cliff. Mists hover year-round at this high altitude, mistaken by some to be thin clouds. Thin layers of snow cover the mountain, making some areas slippery and hazardous.
Some think it romantic, a place to bring their mates, while others come to play and romp. However, all must agree that there is some level of mystery and spookiness hovering about with the mists...

The maned demoness smiled brightly, and grabbed the pup gently by the scruff. She trotted from the den, and began down the mountain, trudging cautiously through the deep snow. If she were to slip, the pup and herself were in grave danger, and both might be severely injured, or killed. The snow began again, but Karamat was protected from it by Spyros chin, except when the wind blew it crooked. Every now and then, she would almost slip, but would catch her balance, keeping the pup held upwards. Spyro finally got them off the mountain, and headed to Staircase Falls.
