Perhaps they had been a stranger family than he knew - perhaps the way in which he had greeted his own sister was most strange but... it had always been such a way. The trio had always been self assured, composed at all times. They'd never been the types to bound about so joyously... even as children, that was simply not their way. Still, despite the distance, he truly was happy to see her alive and well. For so long, he had feared for her safety and now, he had been placated. Caligula would be pleased and undoubtedly his children would be excited over the prospect of meeting their auntie.
Sinclair, on the other hand, was a peculiar boy and indeed, Tesseract could not help but smile inwardly to himself at the boy's actions. For what it was worth, the boy was intent on impressing and impress he did. He'd been hesitant on taking on one so young and one of unknown origins, but it seemed he had made the right choice for the time being. Soon, he would test the boy's strengths but for now... well, he was pleased.
"They will be most pleased to meet you, too."
He nodded, bowing his head briefly at her request for a home. Still, he chuckled oh so quietly, shaking his head slowly as he rose once more to meet her gaze. Why she hoped, he did not know. They were family and their mother had always raised them with a simple lesson: protect those that you love. She was family and thus, she would always be safe wherever he was.
He side stepped then, opening a space between he and Sinclair wide enough for her to walk through. It was customary, he figured, to open such a gate; it was a gate into the territory, into the forests and shores. He watched her carefully, gauging her reaction to the land beyond and such an open invitation.
"My home is your home, sister."
He paused, motioning her forward with his muzzle before passing a glance to Sinclair. The boy was most eager to perform and Tesseract figured he should at least... test that eagerness. With a smirk, he watched Sinclair with a cocked brow before waving his tail.
"Sinclair, why don't you help my sister find a den? I have business to attend to at this present moment, but I shall seek you later and aid you if you need me. How does that sound?"
Would the boy oblige or would he turn down such a request? Either way, Tesseract would be quite pleased with his answer: loyalty and tenacity was pleasant, but so was independence. Besides, it was likely he would need to find his sister at a later date anyway - she was large with children and would surely find it most difficult to dig a den herself. For now, though, he wished to find his mate and inform her of these sudden advancements.
