He was not surprised when he heard the low grumble of words emerging from the shadowy knot of foliage. Devlin smiled sublimely to himself, pleased at having won his own little game. His long dark limbs reached out, stepping easily over the foliage which separated him from the stranger. He found himself faced with a large, lone male.

Devlin's bi-colored gaze fell over the larger male's dark body, lurching hungrily from one sinuous curve of muscle to the next. Finally his eyes lit upon the strange wolf's blood-and-black face, and the dark prince's smile broadened into a delighted grin.

"Not a fan of games?" Devlin laughed, his voice low and mocking. His eyes were sparking with wicked glee. "How very disappointing."

He remained completely still, watching for any flicker of movement that might betray the thoughts locked away in the male's head. Every creature was a puzzle, for Devlin -- a thing to be picked at and investigated thoroughly. When he was finished, it was easy to toss aside the toys that had once so enraptured him -- but for now, this red-tipped male had all of Devlin's fascination.

"You must be an exceedingly boring individual.." The flash of his teeth were testament to his devilish delight. He lowered his head and arched a brow, gazing obliquely up at the male.
