The air is heavy as you make your way through unknown territory, as you pause to sniff the air a drop of rain falls onto your nose. It is soon followed by another and another and soon the rain is pelting down in sheets, soaking you to the bone. The clouds are an angry purple and the menacing drumming of thunder rolls over the sky. Squinting your eyes against the blinding water you find yourself at the edge of a large, dark pine forest. You are too desperate for shelter to notice the scents that mark the border and plunge in, and nearly into the chilly stream that runs through the territory. You veer away and as you are shaking the water out of your fur you notice a large pair of icy blue shards gazing at you. The storm has passed now and beams of sunlight filter through the thick canopy of pines, illuminating a massive male wolf not three feet away from where you stand.

His pelt looks like a bad patchwork job of black and white and beneath them you see large, hard bands of steely muscle and you know this is a warrior for his torso is marred with many battle scars. His banner curls over his back and his lips are drawn, exposing sharp ivory daggers. When he speaks his voice is deep and dominant, like the thunder you so recently heard.

"Wolf, you have found yourself in the terra of the Andere Seite Pack. I am Eclipse, king of this land."

It is only then that you notice another pair of lanterns gleaming in the penumbra and a dark-pelted fae slinks out into the clearing to stand next to the king, her own banner waves and her green and blue eyes bore into you. She is the same size as most males and a crisscrossing pattern of scars show that she too can take care of herself. Her voice is cold and has a snake-like sound to it yet you can see they are both fair rulers.

"And I am Nephthys, queen of Andere. We don’t care much for strangers so you must make your choice, Submit to us now or flee our lands and never return. If you fail to do either you will have little time left to regret it."

The formidable pair pierces you with their gaze and you feel as if all your secrets spill out before them. You are left with a decision now. Will you submit and take refuge in this dark forest or will you flee and never know what secrets these trees hide? Make haste, you can see that the pair grow tired of waiting.

I don't react to her smile, my smooth features remaining impassive. I can feel her gaze roaming freely over my muscular form, the hint of amusement tugging at my lips the only betrayal that I've noticed. She seems to keep coming back to my eyes. I do admit, they're one of my many redeeming qualities but they're merely there as a mask to lure in my prey. It's the reason for most of my structure. Streamlined clean legs and broad sturdy shoulders. A chiseled head with unforgettable features and piercing ice blue eyes to see through even the darkest of night. All just part of the package deal that keeps me well fed. I am a hunter and my allure aids me in that.

She introduces herself as Spirit, asking to join Andere. I tilt my head as if considering the notion though Cade and I haven't even breached the subject of rank. As of now, I don't think I'm allowed to invite strangers in, even temporarily so I guess I'm going to have to summon my queen somehow. I lick my lips at the prospect of seeing her again. She'll be more cleaned up after her challenge, I'm sure. That's almost disappointing since I liked seeing her in the color red. It suited her nicely.

Spirit is mostly quiet and thoughtful, though she never takes her eyes off of me. It all depends on my mood whether I'm okay with being noticed this much but luckily for her, right now I don't care one way or another. Love is for the weak. I thought I'd found something special when I found Sookie in that cavern and now I don't even know what I'm looking for in Cade and her mother but I know there's something there, either way. Perhaps it's just lust from being separated from society for so long. Perhaps I'm feeling a pinch of loneliness. Either way, I don't do love. She looks like she could be a loner just as well as a pack wolf. I wonder what changed her mind about life on the road. Oh well, none of my business. She looks expectantly at me. I guess I should give her a name to call me by. I bow my head in my charming way, eyes never leaving her own.

"Eric, at your service. I'm afraid I don't have rank to aide you in that but I can give you some company until the right wolf arrives if that's okay."

Waiting for her response with a lifted brow and a slightly tilted head, I then push my muzzle skyward and let out a ringing howl, calling for Cade, Quirino, or another ranked wolf, anyone who can accept Spirit into the pack.
