Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

Watch me fall above like a vicious dove

ISTAS

They don't see me coming, who can blame them?

Istas couldn’t tell the male was angry. His completely opalescent eyes were set on him as he seemed to emanate his own light. He has saved him, he was a miracle working and Istas was greatful to him. He was a guardian angel he knew it. Not like the mean ones of Diveen, no. They were no angels sent from heaven. They were more demonic than the so called demons of Iromar from hell. They hurt his pure white mother, more than once, who also seemed to always have this light even if the only action she had taken was to clean his overly fluffy coat. However, this male had a different kind of light to him as well, something he liked like he did with all older males and sometimes younger. He let his pupil-less eyes stray from his own icy gaze moving instead to his body.

The pure white boy lifted himself further, but very slowly. His muscles were slow and not quick to react though he wanted to stand. Stiff and hard to move, heavy with the water in his coat it showed not only how not hefty the boy was, but how overly skinny and meek he was too. His light frame did all it could to hold up the weight of his own thick fur, his gaze moved around taking in each muscle before landing on his savior’s icy eyes again. Istas never knew his gaze was unsettling. Everyone in his family except his mother had the pupil-less eyes after all. One of his brothers you could slightly see them, but for the most part all of their eyes were pale.

He still stared up at the male with a weak smile on maw even as he said guardian angels don’t exist. This male was a guardian angel, he just didn’t know it. He was compelled to save him because that was what he was. Istas shook his head slightly but the movement caused him to topple over onto the ground again. He knew what was going on.

”Ohh I understand, Mister Hymeshe, guardian angel sir. I am not supposed to know you exist, so you are trying to trick me by telling me you don’t exist. I get it. My brothers try to trick me all the time. I can pretend you don’t if that means you won’t get into trouble.” Clearly he was a bit delusional and just making it so he was right, but the boy was hell bent in believing he had his own guardian angel.

”My name is Istas, and mom lets me go wherever I want so long as I am back before we all go to bed.” He said lifting his head again. Istas was cold, shivering, and still drenched to the bone. He watched as the adult male sat down Istas started crawling towards his paws to nestle between them, both instinct and his own will to be warm and closer with his now dubbed guardian angel. Istas brushed up against Hymeshe’s own wet body, but it was still warm. He just knew his guardian angel wouldn’t let him down and freeze to death.

They never seem to catch my eye but I never wondered why
