Curious, this male. Tesseract understood well the subtle nature of males when it came to particular women - the stance, the movements, all of it. If he didn't know any better, he would have thought the stranger had somehow become quite attached to Jagger. Of course, the idea seemed almost folly - in the short time he had known the female, she had not seemed to be the type to fall so easily for a male. Curious, indeed, and something he kept a keen eye on as he watched their interaction by the side of Chickadee. Jagger, compared the Splash fellow, seemed quite the contrary though - he had grinned in bemusement over her own actions. He had nodded briefly in her direction, confirming that he did not see the male as a threat this day. Usually Tesseract had been rather suspicious of males, particularly when they spoke of not innately being... friends with the one they came with. His strange mannerisms aside, the male at least gave Tesseract respect. That was a good sign.
Chickadee, too, seemed at least more comfortable now, something Tesseract was certainly pleased with. She, Jagger and even Alana had fast become important wolves to him - with any luck, Caligula would be able to see it soon enough. The thought of Caligula made him sigh quietly beneath his breath... he'd have to go hunt soon enough. Alana had only produced one child as far as he was aware, but Caligula had given him three. His sister was yet to birth and undoubtedly that would equate even more... they would have their paws full. At a time like that, he was glad to have wolves such as Chickadee and Jagger - the perfect warrior and the perfect healer.
He was fast driven away from those thoughts though when Jagger mentioned the word - imprint. At first, he simply glanced between the two with a look of confusion before he furrowed his brow and shook his head slowly. He knew the feeling well enough and all it entitled. Perhaps many demeaned him solely for his relationship with Caligula, a wolf more than often enough known as his sister, but one could not change their own soul. Sometimes, a soul was simply born apart, embodied in two wolves. It couldn't be helped and he was filled with great sympathy for the two - he passed Jagger a look and nod that spoke such a thing in volumes. As for Splash... at least he was forward, immediately jumping into what exactly he would need to do to prove himself. For some time, Tesseract had remained silent, simply appraising the male with a quizzical gaze before smirking faintly.
"What do you ladies think this man must do to prove himself not only trustworthy, but as invaluable?"
He glanced to Jagger and Chickadee with a tilted head and cocked brow. It was more difficult to appease one such as Tesseract - his approval took weeks at times. He preferred to analyse each and every inch of a wolf before truly considering them a companion; strengths, weaknesses, quirks, all of it. But what would those within the pack see fit as a merit of trust?
"We all pull our weight around here, Splash. There is no room for those that wish to idly rest within Glorall; such wolves are fodder, mouths to feed without having earned the meal. Perhaps it is up to you to tell me why it is you should be permitted such admittance?"
On top, of course, of proving himself to the other wolves of Glorall. Those that sat idly by remained in the dirt, far at the bottom of the ranks where they belonged. Admittedly, the male seemed to have potential to go far in any field he chose if his physicality was enough to go by - but sadly, there was more to a wolf but simply his body. Now, it was time to see what the ladies decided and what self worth the merle man would put on himself.
