The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

SKELETOR

Amber eyes showed nothing as I walked alone, my paws silently hitting the earth. I'd spent almost three years just making where I no longer showed emotion hardly at all. My paws hit the ground, bringing me closer and closer to the smell of blood, where the howl came from, and the smell of Enigma and Kershov. Hm. I used to want to be like Enigma, now I'd rather be the spy leader. I shook the thought away, that wouldn't happen ever. My eyes darted ahead as I came to where they were. I silently looked from Enigma to the new co-alpha. Wasn't there some co-alpha or queen a few months ago? Pretty sure. I looked at Scarlett, bowing my head to the ground.

I know the ess's of are not and never will be, well maybe except my mother- wait when have I called Ruhani my mother? She's hardly a mother at all. But Kershov seemed to care a whole bunch about her, friendship wise. It wasn't like she was in love with him, which Ruhani wasn't, she wasn't in love with anyone. Skeletor met Scarlett's gaze, not breaking it. Her own amber eyes showed no fear, no anger, no sadness, nothing. When Scarlett looked away her gaze flicked to Kershov, but some emotions came out this time. There was something about the snow white king that made her emotions come out no matter what. She remembered one time, she let herself show weekness in front of him, not this time. No in front of a wolf she didn't fully trust.

Skele was anything but ordinary. When she learns to trust someone, she opens up a bit. When she's not in pack territory, she does hide her emotions mostly but relaxes more then if she was in the territory. But Skeletor knew she wouldn't and probably never will meet, someone she could spend her life with and have puppies. Huh. Puppies, they seemed like little bundles of non existent joy. She hated it. She lowered her rump to the ground not to far off, watching Scarlett and Kershov. But she wasn't really looking at them, she was thinking about things. She snapped out of it quickly. Not here Skeletor, not now. You don't need to show weakness especially in front of someone who just won a role as Kershovs co-alpha. She kept her gaze steadily on them, like she was waiting for orders to go on a mission.

Then I lost it all. Dead and broken.
