News 08.08.2021
Change was long overdue in Spirane. Now that I have learned who is still an active presence within the pack, the ranks have been updated. As I once took time away from the pack, so too now shall Kalseru. Know that she is still second in command of the pack, as is reflected in her rank. Once you are familiar with the new ranking system, if you would like to change positions or move up in the ranks you need only ask. Let this be a time of new life in Spirane, and a promise of great things to come!

When the snows fall and the white winds blow, the lone wolf dies, but the pack survives.

“Thank you.”

I spoke softly, breath rising like smoke into the frigid air as Eden moved forward to call for these wolves of the mountain, his cry echoing over the mountains and ridges as I regarded him. He is strange, my companion, so quiet sometimes and yet at other times he sends his voice to the sky for all to hear. This does not displease me, I simply find it another side to him, Eden, the one I chose because he is not as the others, because he will be more and I need others like him, others who are not bound to the old ways of their blood. I need others who will understand what it seems so many are not willing to. The air grew still once more, silent, the opalescence of my gaze returning to rest on Eden once more. Where were these wolves of the mountain heights that for so long have held friendship with Diveen and Trenus before it? Had they not heard my companion? Did they no longer live? Perhaps the snow grew too heavy, perhaps they could not come down from the pass. I found these thoughts turning easily within my mind though I remained silent on them for now, lifting the white of my muzzle to the wind in search of any scent other then Eden, myself or the ice and cold. It seemed a lonely place, this mountain, though I found I didn’t dislike it entirely, just as I did not dislike Iromar completely. The earth had been soft and rich and though I found no favour with the fog and mist I hadn’t mind those I found there, those boys of white. The Heir though…..he was not as they and it was he I truly needed to speak with still. He was the one who would make the call when the day came and I….I needed it to be the same as my own if ever I will do what needs to be done.

I lifted my eyes once more as the shadowy form of another came, a girl older then myself, a girl of grey and dark who walked with a proud stride. Perhaps Eden and I had found good fortunate today, she walked as one in command, she walked as one who knew her place and indeed if what I have been told is true then this may be the Princess I sought though I kept my thoughts silent in this moment as she came, my own form moving forward to stand beside my grey and white companion, nodding my head to the girl who came, she gave no title when she spoke though I was not surprised in this as I let a small smile touch my lips. She was older then I and I hoped only that she would continue to take myself seriously in this. I am young, I am small, but that which I have to say is surely big enough to make her see.

“If you are Daenerys then it is you I have come to see, you and the other young ones. I am Solaris, a son of Kane and Isola of Diveen, I believe, far back you and I also share blood though I have not come to speak about this today. This is my companion and we have come because I need to talk to the heir or Spirane, this….is you?”

I had to be sure, I could not make the mistake of speaking with the wrong wolf, or one who would not listen. I will nto waste my words like that. I let the violet blue of my eyes rest upon the dark of her own. If she knows of the packs of Moladion she will know indeed who I am without my need for the word Prince, a word I find unwanted by myself. I cannot change what I am and I will not lie in that the title of my birth can only help with what I have come to achieve though truly I wish it were not so. I paused then, offering a moment for Eden to speak should he desire it before it was that another arrived. I held myself as she, this Daenerys of Spirane, my small form held tall and proud still as was the custom in this regard before a boy of russet took his place close beside her, another smile gracing my lips as my headed nodded once more. Royal or not, he has come and I will honour him for that alone, the more the better, or so I hope.

“Talisin, I am Solaris.”

I did not know whether he had heard my name spoken, so I offered it once more though said nothing by way of Eden. His name is his own to give, I have learned this, it is his custom of sorts though I do not understand it. Perhaps it does not matter, if he does not wish to have his name spoken then so be it. What right do I have to ask he offer what is his own to give? I moved to speak once more then, snowy lips parting and red-rimmed eyes aglow in the sun as the mark of the rising light upon my chest moved to gleam as such in the light before it was another came, another whose movement and stride did not offer the same welcome, a boy who reminded me in this moment of Adonis. I allowed my dark blue gaze to rest upon him as he came, this boy of earth and dark and light though for a moment my attention wandered to Eden, seeking his reaction in this though I trust already he has seen what I have, the aggression that lingers in his form. I am young, but I do not consider myself foolish in this. There will be many who do not like what I have to say, there will be many will not listen, who may seek to come against me with more then just words, but it has to be done, these things must be said. We cannot continue as we are and if Eden and I alone are left to fight it, then so be it. I can only try, though already I’m running out of time and wolves such as this one….they do not help. I shifted slightly, remaining close to Eden, I did not fear this new male, I have no reason to do so, yet I will not stray from Eden in this. This one offers no words and as such I simply nod, let it be so then, yet I let my gaze meet his own easily. He may be larger, older, but in this I will not be stood over.

The last to arrive is a girl given to do so with what Achilles calls ‘flair’. My head was given to tilt at the sound of a voice upon the air, features frowning softly before it was a girl of red and white marked so like those of my own home for a moment I believed we had been followed once more, despite the assurance of my Eden that we had not. The girl raced past in a flurry of white, my eyes drawn wide as I watched with surprise, my lip lifting slightly in amusement at this. I do not play so often, it is not that I don’t want to, not truly, I just……cannot find the time. Perhaps I will ask Eden to engage in such frivolity later for the benefit of my childhood. She seated herself at last, this playful girl who seemed older then the others, my grin finding her once more.

“and I am Solaris, of Diveen. Thank you for…..arriving.”

I did not best know how to describe her entrance, shaking the thought away for now as I regarded those who came before me, moving slightly until I stood clearly before them once more to ask them, just what it was I had asked the children of Iromar. I need to know. I need to know who among them is different and who will only act with scorn.

“Please, if you could, all of you, knowing what you know of Diveen and the blood of my pack. When you look at me and at my companion- what do you see?”
