Daenerys stood silently at his side, and in Alcide’s periphery he could see her studying the situation that had presented itself. She knew the name Tesseract, she knew who he was and what he had done. And perhaps that was the primary reason that Alcide had been glad to have her along. It was important for her to learn of the strange dynamic that would be present between the two leaders who had once fought one another for the right to rule the mountain. At Tesseract’s congratulations, Alcide nodded his head in kind, acknowledging the compliment that had been of the same composition as the one he had paid to Tesseract. No words were required, though, and he continued to simply watch the small entourage of seaside wolves that presented themselves. A single ear flicked towards Daenerys as she introduced herself as the heiress to these lands, and a small smile pulled at Alcide’s maw. He was ever so proud of his daughter, and he was glad that she spoke for herself, for he had no intention of speaking for her. Godric had informed the alphen of how she had excelled when meeting the newcomer, Snowshoe, over the winter. She was growing so fast into the accomplished young lady that would one day rule these lands.

If either of the pups who had accompanied Tesseract introduced themselves, Alcide would cordially nod his head to each of them in turn. Whereupon the salty scented leader chose to begin the conversation that pleasantries had finally given way to, Alcide refocused upon him. His words were met with a cool, intent gaze from the elder male. It was an interesting offer, to be sure. And yet again Alcide felt a sense of respect for Tesseract in his boldness to return to the borders of a pack he had once challenged for and extend the branch of alliance. He spoke well and true of his pack, and did not try to hide the fact that they did, perhaps, lack in numbers. Though Spirane found itself steadily growing, she too was a pack of minimal numbers. Then again perhaps any pack paled in comparison to the stronghold that was Diveen. The mountain pack already held a steadfast arrangement of union with the badlands pack. It was an association that stretched back many, many years. But to have another ally would not be so bad a thing. Silence hung between them for a moment as Alcide considered the proposition, and as he parted his maw to reply, he was distracted by the motion of another wolf approaching.

Rhoedias sauntered up to the group, dipping her head to Alcide and he gave a curt nod in recognition. She was pack now, and he was glad to have her. He watched her as she came to rest beside and slightly behind him, opposite to Daenerys. His tail waved once as she greeted Tesseract, and then he refocused on the lighter hued male. “You make an interesting proposition, one that I would be foolish to refuse outright,” his said, tailing flicking once in its erect posture. “Spirane, too, is always growing and seeking new knowledge. An arrangement in which we can exchange such services would be favorable.” Where Spirane perhaps had more well trained individuals in their populace, Glorall very likely held many natural resources that a wolf could possibly harvest for future use. “I know you to be a capable fighter; others within your midst may benefit from sparring sessions with warriors of Spirane, and vice versa. Also, I am sure there is unusual flora that my healers may find useful; should they be given leave to harvest from your lands, so too shall yours be given to familiarize themselves with the plant life of the mountain.” It was two arrangements that could perhaps bridge a relationship for the pack. It was with an unsteady beginning that they had come to know one another, but it would take both packs to ensure that the path from here out would be a smooth one.
