The unwelcome appearance of yet another testosterone filled beast only set Lurid on edge ever further. She did not trust so many around her newborns, even Jumanji. They did not know her demons, her haunted memories, they cursed her and caused her to be overly protective of her new young. They could not understand this. Her knives were bared at the ghastly figure before her, the long hairs on the nape of her neck rising at his unannounced approach to notify him of her standing with him. His voice, however, was less alarming than she had expected it to be as he backed her response to Jumanji just spoken moments prior. Her fangs were sheathed once more yet she did not lower her guard, nor the hackles on her back completely. He looked as if he had been through hell and back again, his snowy coat now dingy and doused in multiple pungent scents; that of blood and birthing and earth. He must have visited other pregnant mothers within the borders simply by the aroma he carried with him.

He was odd in every way she could imagine, his coat a mess, his gait hindered, his tail crooked. She did not look upon him as she had so many others of his type - his demeanor was far different. Though she appreciated his support for her offspring, she was still wary of the near stranger, only knowing his name now as he gave it. The pale wraith knew little of the rankings within this terra as of yet, but she happened to educate herself on the top tier of ranks first off so that she may know who is to be highly regarded among the pack. While she may have an inclination to respect this Paldor, she cannot fully trust him, it is not in her nature by any means.

Her pale pink eyes cut back to Jumanji now as he retorted her allegations. "You are incapable of understanding.." Her tone was hollow as she responded, though her eyes did not break contact as she spoke to him. Perhaps she did want him to know, for reasons unknown to her, yet she could not bring herself to dig up the topic in the midst of others. Maybe he did not even deserve to know - after all - he was not committed to her and neither she to him. That look though, the one he had given Paldor upon his arrival, did not go unseen as she studied their interaction. He seemed equally as displeased with the healer's presence as she, yet in a way she had never witnessed before. He may just as easily have a protective streak for his own blood as well though, so she simply shrugged it off as e questioned their names. "Taji, Malum, and Mara. Two girls and a boy." Her voice held a bit of softness in it as she spoke of them, the delight of it all overwhelming her each time she thought of them.

Pale eyes lingered on him until he was disappeared, at which point she redirected her attention to Paldor as he offered her plants for odd reasons. "No. I do not want any aide." Her voice was brusque as she was still unnerved in his company. It was not intended to be rude, yet it would seem as such. "Thank-you.." She was reluctant to utter the words, nearly apologetic for seeming so brash. It was not in her mindset to receive such help from another, especially for a process so delicate as this.
