News 03.28.20

Get with me if you want to move up in rank. I'm going to change up the pack tasks for a little change of pace.

Congratulations to Adrian on her promotion to Governess. She will handle the guidance and teaching of our young pups in Iromar.

If you have a ^ next to your name, that means you're up for promotion so see me or send me a message on Discord so we can see where to move you. All others interested in specializing or getting a rank, let me know so we can figure out how to make that happen.

The pack board has been updated. If you wanted to remain a member, let me know either on here or Discord and I'll get you back on the board. Otherwise, let's have a thread!

I know I had a couple replies for the training with Spirane so I will be starting that thread soon. Stay tuned!

I am still working on an alliance with Diveen and Asteraia so stay tuned. If you have any information or would like to help, please let me know. If anyone has any ideas to promote activity within the pack, also, let me know. I am open for plots and such! Meanwhile, thank you all for your continued support of the pack.

There seems to be a recurring theme of 'born to greatness' children around here, well...she is here to break this mode. For while some are born to greatness, they never spread their wings wide enough to catch the slipstream of their parents' reputations. Taji is born of nothing but an insane female's son, and a leucistic masochist, and yet she knows before her birth that she will rise from the ashes of the unknown and make herself great in her own right. She has no paw steps to fill, no former greatness to overshadow her own, no expectations placed on her by the decree of royal blood to hold her down. So she takes her first steps into the light and out of the darkness of her nursery, her pale silver back seems to turn white in the sunlight, her back to the rays as she swings her dark labyrinths about to catch the sounds of her swamp-land home. That pink muscle slipping between her lustrous lips, hypnotic lamps of offset colors scanning her new surroundings. She picks up her leather boots, moving out of the den and out into the world she hardly knew. Alternating green rimmed pink and yellow eyes move in a wide arch as the pink pupil constricts and dilates, focusing on the bright yellow flowers, the new insects buzzing about made her ears twitch and she snorts as they land on her nose. All hers.

A tiny grin spreads across the silvery girl's face, her eyes landing on a particularly good looking bug. Her tail waving as she watches the colorful wings flap in the air, moving it in an erratic trail to one of the flowers. Taji lowers her body to the ground, her black hind legs looking every bit like a pair of black boots, the gloves on her front paws a dark gray, and she lets that grin spread into a full smile as she stalks the unsuspecting butterfly. Instinctively she spreads her toes, cupping the earth beneath her paws to make her soft steps silent as a mountain cat. Her pupils dilate to help her focus on her prey, movements through the grass stifled by her slow motions. She waits, watching the stick that came from the butterfly's head, her odd gaze hot on this insect, wondering what it was doing to that flower before she strikes. Her dark gray glove smacks down on her victim, a victorious howl echoing across the territory as she watches the pretty wings thrash about in the grass. A delighted giggle escaping as she looks at the black pad of her right forepaw, noting the pretty colors on the bottom of her foot. She leaves her victim, suddenly disinterested, feeling randomly downtrodden about its new found stillness in the grass. Something had felt...too easy about slaying the butterfly, and her tiny lustrous form is moving once more to find something more satisfying to take than a mere insect with pretty wings.

She wanders far from her safe nursery, wishing with every fiber of her silvery form that she could find another tiny being like her self or those she had grown with. Perhaps Mara or Malum would come and play with her, but she didn't think they could make it all the way out here. She wished that some unknown wolf would come and play with her, though she really hoped it would be someone of her size so she could fight them. It was her favorite thing to do with Malum, to wrestle about within the confines of the den, though truly such antics called for much more space with the three of them in there now. She smirks, her pale lips raising to reveal the needle points of her fangs. Those gloved paws forging a way between wild flowers and tall grasses, leather boots following close behind as she picks her path. Splashing catches her attention and she is suddenly ambling forth on clumsy paws, black ears pricked forward in her curiosity. Upon arriving at a small duckweed covered pond, Taji noticed that some of the green plants have shifted to reveal black waters and ripples give away the movements of animals beneath the surface. A murderous grin slides across her lips, watching a fish move through the murky pool, those organs of pink, yellow, and green not leaving the curious creature as it takes its daily route through its watery home. Her head tilts as the denzin of the deep darts out of sight, the reason soon becoming apparent as a dark log looking creature moves quickly from the waters.

The first lick of fear reaches her tiny ticker, and she backs away from the creature as it bursts forth from the swamp, duckweed giving the massive thing its crown. She stays out of jaws reach, working through her fear as she simply stares at the large beast, its white teeth gleaming against the dark green of its hard skin. Its head was as large as a small yearling deer, the body itself was longer than any fallen tree she had ever seen, claws on its feet pointed like her mother's fangs. Those black ears fell back and she let loose a fearsome snarl at the monster of the swamp - the king slayer - the silvery fur along her back standing on end. He did not budge, he simply stared at the mouthful of a pup and watched her odd behavior with all the interest one would give a fly. In the early morning, the king killer is slow moving, only interested in warming himself before he wishes to feast. Taji moves away further, sensing the danger this creature seems to be capable of, not knowing this is the very beast who took the great king before Ishtar. From a safer distance, the young silvery girl watches this monster, this dragon of the swamplands, as he pulls himself upon a large rock. She wonders why he does this, confusion sweeping her features as she tilts her pretty head.

The initial fear she felt has waned, curiosity taking its place. With his giant back to her, Taji moves forward, keeping her small frame to the ground in case he should see this streak of light coming to him. She would hardly make a meal for the ancient lizard, but this phases her not as she comes beside the monster. An alligator, she will come to know it, is a very dangerous creature. But to her young mind, it is merely a living throne. A fearless grin, and she is in motion, a silvery slip as she leaps up to his back. The giant beast lurches to the side, startled by the sudden weight on his back, and the girl astride him gives a thrilled peel of laughter. She uses her claws to grip the rough skin of him, easily catching the grooves between his scales as she sprawls her legs apart for balance, her tail whirlwinding to help her stay on. He moves about wildly for a moment before tiring, his coldness making him slow and fatigued. Taji remains firmly planted on his back as he suddenly stops, her fur shining in the sunlight he aims to catch, completely satisfied with herself on taming this wild steed. She sits as he stills, relaxing on his massive back, growing comfortable in the assumption that she is safe on his back. Duckweed is stuck on her fur now, but it bothers the booted siren none as she watches the morning sun and the creature who catches the rays of it, the dark parts of her body warm quickly, though the beast below her paws does not, his mass making him take longer to warm completely. Would someone come along to take her from the back of a monster who would eat her if given the chance, or should we see how well her dangerous steed teaches her not to ride creatures who kill?

PACK RANKS

Monarch
Pretty simple, Alpha of Iromar. Ultimate authority. What I say, goes.
Chief
The 'Co-Alpha'. He is her equal and has all the same authorities as she does. He is be respected and can take challenges and block steals.
Deputy
The Beta of Iromar. The most trusted wolf under the Alpha. Has all the same authorities of the Monarch in her absence. Second in command. Can block steals and take challenges.
Council
The advisor to the Monarch. One who's wisdom is often sought in matters of politics and war. Not necessarily an elder but someone the Monarch looks up to.
Trooper
The head warrior of Iromar. Shows the most skill in combat and has experience to back it up. Trains the soldiers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Stalker
The head hunter of Iromar. Shows the most skill in hunting and providing for the pack. Tasked with leading pack hunts and teaching the pups of the pack at designated times. Trains the hunters and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Medic
The head healer of Iromar. Skilled in herbs and emergency medicine. Tasked with checking on the Monarch/Deputy after a challenge and also keeping up with mothers around birthing time. Trains the healers and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.

The head diplomat in Iromar. Skilled in matters of politics and conversation. Intelligent and witty, this wolf keeps the pack together as one while reaching out to potential allies for support. Council is their direct supervisor. Trains the diplomats and serves as their direct supervisor. Can block steals.
Governess
The guardian of offspring in Iromar. Skilled as a warrior and alert as a scout, this wolf is tasked with probably one of the most important jobs in Iromar, protecting the future of the pack and Moladian. They can watch the litter while the parents are off doing tasks, hunting, or just enjoying some quiet time. Can serve as guides for the pups, like having a full time guardian. No one to train but the pups or even adults of Iromar when they have questions or curiosity about the past. This wolf may even be called upon by the Council at times. Can block steals.
Soothsayer
The seer of Iromar. This is a special rank made specifically for a wolf with "the sight." Consider her an advisor/spy of sorts for the alpha and rest of the pack. She/he can gather intel from outside or supernatural forces. You don't have to believe in the magic of this ability for any wolf with this rank will be respected as a ranked member of the pack. Can block steals.
