Only You Are the Life Among the Dead  |
_________________________________________________________________________ Khaleesi was dropped on the ground and she attempted a growl at the brute that had picked her up. She saw him smirk at her at her pathetic attempts at a growl and snarl. Her white ears flattened against her head in frustration; she wished she was bigger so she could fight her way away from the mean brute. After he spoke to her, looking for her cooperation she ran, trying to escape him, not realizing how futile it was. The white pup ran as fast as she could, short legs moving as fast as they could to try and outrun the adult that she knew would follow her. The young femme quickly ran out of breathe and was breathing heavily when the brute reaches her. She hears him growl as he grabs her scruff again and her kicking legs become useless. The brute began walking back in the direction that Khaleesi had just run from and she whimpered, realizing how helpless she was. She still struggled, deciding she wouldn’t make it easy for him to kidnap her even though she couldn’t escape. The pup shook her head from side to side, trying to loosen from his grasp, legs flailing about, trying to kick him. After he reached the spot they had been at before he put her down in the same spot. As she attempts to spin around and face him she feels a heavy paw on her shoulder, pushing her to the ground on her stomach, not hurting her, just pinning her to the ground. The brute leans down next to her, his maw next to her ear as he speaks with a menacing undertone, "Don't try that again. You'll only get lost and then die in the darkness. Is that what you want? My way is easier. I'll take you back to Aurora and trade you for her. It's the only way. It's got to work." His voice trails off for a moment before he continues, "I want a promise of cooperation before I lift my paw. Do we have an understanding?" His bright blue eyes meet her green ones as he asks for her cooperation. Khaleesi knows that there is no way she can escape him, he’s so much stronger than her, and running didn’t work, so what else was she to do. An annoyed huff of air escapes her as she reluctantly agrees, ”Fine, take me home.” She was afraid of getting lost in the darkness like he said and dying in here, cold and alone. Khaleesi just wanted her mom, she wanted her mom to come to her rescue and take her away from the big scary wolf that had taken her. She tried not to show the fear that was creeping inside her, growing more and more the longer that the lupine held her pinned to the ground. A whimper escaped her, as much as she tried not to, she started shaking, wishing she could be brave but fear taking over her. ________________________________________________________________________ |
