Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

The other male is distracted at first, but Rio has learned to be quite patient over the years. The features that turn and appraise him have a smile tugging at the corners of his dark lips. And the smirk accompanying the expression has a soft, airy chuckle slowly dripping from his lips. The sound is deep, gentle and amused all in one. The words that follow not soon after have the red-head then nodding his skull in agreement. 'Enchanting is a good term for it, stranger.' Golden citrine are focused on a pale sage green and filled with a friendly welcome and good nature. It had simply always been his way, 'less faced with a threat or one most unkind. The midnight toned male was one in his prime, who was both taller and heavier than Rio, and had a very likeable boyish charm to him. He took to the wolf immediately and knew he would remember this one with the Cheshire grin on his jaw.

When pale emerald glance down to the hare clasped within firm jaws, Rio remembered himself, and thus his manners. Cocking his right brow ever so slightly, ther ewas a moment where he feigned insult at the glance of the other. It was all in good humor though and it showed brightly in his gaze, and even more so when he chuckled to himself as well as nodded to the other again. 'Indeed, I am- though a meal shared with company always seems to taste better. And a view shared is one well remembered.' While Rio had his gentleman nature, he also had a rather wise one to him as well. He had always had a particular way with words and so spoke in a rather unique matter. But it wasn't something he actively thought about, rather, something that came naturally to him- as some things did.

Upon learning the knowledge that the stranger was waiting for someone, the red-head made a simple decision- one that sealed his previous one. Moving his skull in such a way that gestured to the meat within his jaw, his voice followed not soon after. 'You are more than welcome to partake in my little snack, stranger-' he paused here, as if for dramatic affect before continuing just a moment after 'if you would be so kind as to tell me your name. I'll start; I'm Rio.' Amusement usually helped in social situations- to break the ice and ease some into relaxing. This stranger did not seem to need such a thing, but it was something second nature to Rio. It was a method he had always used, and while it had mostly never failed him- he figured why stop now. Taking a moment to glance back at the dry earth upon the shoreline, bright citrine then roamed back to sage green.

'What do you think? I'm sure we'll be easy enough to spot- for your friend.'
