Enocra Woodland

Pine, spruce and firs alike...
Dense coniferous forests cover the woodlands, with clearings, paths and the occasional wildberry shrub throughout. Pine, spruce and fir make up much of the forest in the east, with the forest becoming swampier in the west towards Mecor Valley. In the west, cypress trees dominate, with fallen trees creating bridges across and throughout the stillwaters.

‘Hello.’ One word that sang into the quiet night that startled Banshee more than most would be. She flashed her fangs in surprise before her eyes locked on a cream and brown male that had a more welcoming tail stance than that of most others. This eased Banshees tension lowering her lips that had been drawn back in misunderstanding. For a long moment she studied him trying to determine what the outcome of this run in might be. She tested the air with her muzzle seeing if they were alone, it seemed so but she wouldn’t let her guard fall completely. “Hello,’ she said in a soft velvety voice she tried to seem as pleasant as possible not wanting any trouble. ‘My name is Banshee, may I ask yours?” She questioned glancing about the trees obviously untrusting after the past few days how could she?

Though she may have seemed focused on the outside her mind was being bombarded with questions, thoughts, and even memories. She had her name for a reason, a myth she knew but it was beginning to suit her well. First her pack leaders mate when she was born, then her mum when she was a youth, and most recently her mate. No, maybe not considered mates as their bond was never validated but she truly loved him nonetheless. But now they were gone, dead and faded from the world but burned in her memory. She wanted to laugh mockingly fate was not her friend, a cruel mocking enemy but never a friend. Perhaps her fate was changing? Surly meeting the male was not a trick of the fates maybe she could find a friend in this male.

The thought of the male made her twitch back to reality if even for a moment. She wanted to ask him the name of this place but kept herself from doing so waiting to see if he should speak again. Banshee took a moment to glance up to the moon. It was these nights she missed her family the most but she would never show that weakness to a stranger. Yes, everyone and mostly everyone felt pain but she refused to show it herself.

Now that she had stopped she could actually feel the soft earth sink and slack beneath her weight her claws sinking in the cool embrace they offered. The grass that folded flimsily and leaves that offered cushioning beneath her all where a welcoming touch to tired limbs. Her exhaustion was likely evident in all her features which seemed to put her at more of a disadvantage but she would not allow it to bother her.

“May I ask the name of this place?” She questioned lightly finally finding the comfort to do so. She wondered if all whereas friendly though she doubted it sincerely. She was in need of a good rest but even though she had not been out of a pack for long she knew the dangers of being without a pack and trying to seek rest, it was likely to be the same here as back home though she knew in reality she no longer had a home. She then began to wonder why this male was out surly he was not without a pack. She kept her question to herself not looking to bombard him with many questions though she was of few words herself. She was more for actions that speech. She wanted to great him more formally but her limbs stayed glued to the spot she had arrived in, not willing to approach him and stir the air.

*OOC: To clarify as said her name is off the myth but the deaths were not her fault. ~Sorry it was short I will try to make the next longer and thank you for giving me a shot.*
