Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Sinclair
Then the Strongest Heart Grows Old
Sinclair returned her impossibly wide grin, more than happy that her bad mood had also been lifted. When she stared at him though, her eyes lost in apparent confusion he thought that maybe what he had offered was inappropriate. He shifted nervously, hoping that his offer wouldn’t be rejected too badly. Her acceptance of his invitation caused his black tipped tail to thump twice against the sand. It would be a good time, he was sure! The young Hastati hopped to his feet, eager to be on their way. There was still a bit of time before Sinopa would want him for dinner, so he thought he’d let Cersei go and tell her parents while he informed his mom and then they could meet up just before she came over.

He opened his mouth, about to voice his opinion, but Cersei had different plans. Her mouth apparently didn’t have a stop button. Sinclair grinned at the humor of it. Well, at least he didn’t have to say much to keep a conversation going because it seemed like Cersei was completely capable of talking for four wolves. Go on a hunt with Tesseract and her? That sounded like a blast! Maybe he could even befriend his leader instead of just work as his apprentice. However, the thought also made him a bit nervous. He wanted to make Tesseract proud of him, but he felt more anxious about hunting with Cersei. He didn’t exactly understand why, but he felt like he wanted to impress her. He supposed he couldn’t let that stop him from trying to learn how to hunt better though. He was a terrible hunter at the moment.

He figured she would stop to wait for his response to her invitation, but she continued right along to a different subject (back to tonight). Wow. Was this how every else’s brain worked? Sin was getting exhausted just by listening to her. Surely all of these questions could have been handled one by one? Maybe one day Sin would ask her to organize her thoughts, but for right now, he was mostly charmed by her enthusiasm for everything. Sin’s tail waved behind him as he waited for Cersei to pause for breath.

He answered her kindly, his previously nervous voice relaxing into a friendly rhythm, “I’d like very much to go hunting with you and Master tomorrow. Tonight, though, I’m sure Mater and I can manage the hunting. Tonight will be our treat. And it’s not necessary for you to bring us gifts; having you sup with us will be reward enough.” Sin grinned happily and raise a paw, waving it at her playfully, “Until I have to go and hunt though, would you like to hang out? We good go and try to meet some of the other pups.”

He thought it would be fun to go around with Cersei. She wasn’t as shy as he, so he was sure meeting the others with her around would be a lot easier than doing that on his own. That aside, when Cersei wasn’t trying to be vicious, she seemed really nice! Maybe he’d found his first friend besides Lamar? The thought triggered his tail to curl joyfully. Making a buddy was one of the things Sinclair was obviously not so good at (as evidence from his failure at trying to play with Cersei earlier), so he felt very special to have made one.
