Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

He supposed one of the best monikers for himself would have been The Watchful - it was simply a second nature to him now to watch those that were under his care. Initially, it had been Caligula, who he watched over from a distance; it became his daughters soon enough, and now, it had extended to his pack. The females, in particular, were most guarded by him - after having learnt what had happened to Alana, and having seen Jagger been followed back by a male most strange, he had decided that Moladion did not make itself the safest place for anything other than males. He figured if he could ensure all the females' safety in Glorall, in turn, they would aid in ensuring his daughters' safety. With four daughters, it was too easy to understand why a father may worry so much.

For the most part, such watchfulness meant he kept himself occupied on the border - each day and night he patrolled it, remarking the scents and being weary of any new, strange scents that might have trespassed. He had found one some time ago, a scent he had learnt in Iromar; Tobias had been, apparently, and left just as fast without leaving damage. He had considered following the trail out and ensuring the male did not return but, well, the smartest thing to do was merely ignore it. However, there had been another one today that he certainly did not recognise - male, indeed, and unmistakably headed straight for the center of the pack. He had spent some time breathing in the scent, growling beneath his breath as he marked over it - even as he followed it, he ensured to wipe it away as much as he could. His hackles lifted along his spine, his tail arching up over his rump as he jogged towards the epicenter. Of course he was going to follow the scent. Of course he was, particularly when it lead to the location where many of the pack wolves congregated on occasions.

It didn't take long for him to arrive, the vicinity cloaked in the scent of Viora and Enigma. Another growl rumbled in his chest as he circled the area, intending on getting a glimpse of the intruder as he kept his distance for a moment. Enigma and Viora were not necessarily a good choice for the stranger to intrude upon - Viora having been a promising child, and Enigma having been one of the oldest wolves in Glorall. It gave them, say, special consideration when it came to an Alpha's protection. Still, he would wait a few moments before interrupting whatever meeting was to occur - so far the male did not seem so threatening, but it certainly did not give him a free pass. An intruder was an intruder regardless of their blood affiliation or otherwise.

After having circled the vicinity, he finally broke his jog and stepped into view, holding himself with utmost pride as he came to stand beside Enigma. He watched the grey male through narrowed eyes, a brow slowly rising up expectantly.

"One would have thought you'd be caught up at the borders, where a stranger belongs."

He said no more on the matter, falling into composed silence as he simply stared on, intending to find and maintain eye contact with the stranger. He was content to give the male a chance to explain himself, but for now, he was similarly content to plan the best execution of dominance.
