Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

Oh, he had never expected his younger brother - half brother - to come forward to Glorall. Sure, he had partially hoped for the boy to come one day and proof that he was not a stain on their bloodline but... hope had been as far as it went. Still, he could smell the familiar scent in the breeze that lazily drifted through the mainland; he had thought on it, tempted in by the two stranger's scents that lingered, too, but had decided against it. After all, he had little business to do with his brother - he had saved the boy's life once and truthfully, he didn't intend on doing so again. Hell, the boy hadn't even bothered to call for him, so the logic seemed there - why go when he had not been summoned? Besides, it allowed him additional time to bask in the sun, his paws outstretched and head rested quite comfortably atop them. If anything, though, he would at least give Vidar credit for being resilient, though even fleas could be resilient.

Eventually, though, he figured it best for him to tend to the matter. With the responsibility of being an Alpha, after all, it was likely not good practice to allow Caligula to cull the boy on the borders. If she so desired doing so, she could do it somewhere away from Glorall where the foreign scents could easily be blamed for it. If only Vidar had just accepted his position beneath them; Tesseract would have been more than content giving him a place in the bowels of the pack where he could make use of himself. After all, there was at least fifty-percent of their mother's blood in him, right? That was redeemable. Tesseract could work with that and surely he could have Caligula see such a thing too... eventually. Oh, he couldn't help but chuckle over the prospect. She'd been an efficient killer in the past, so he'd best hurry if he was going to save the boy's life again.

He took off finally in a fast jog, weaving through the bramble and tall trees until he caught sight of Caligula's form in the distance; as he had suspected, she had already begun to stalk the creature, her eyes fixated mercilessly upon him. Rather than speak, he merely slowed to a casual lope, bringing himself close to her and brushing along her side, rubbing his muzzle along her neck in an effort to briefly calm her. If she lashed out at him then so be it; it was a distraction that he had been intending, after all. They had guests - two of them in the form of a shorter, stockier male and a petite female who stood much too close to Vidar to be safe. He had caught wind of the boy's words, that stocky golden male, and chuckled easily, meeting his haze with a cool smile.

"My, my, please do not insult me with such accusations. My mate here is surely upset with the threat of intrusion; as you can imagine a new mother would be. As for myself? I wish nobody dead."

He paused, passing the same, lazy gaze to Vidar with one side of his lips pulled up in a content smile. Even his tail waved some three times behind him as he nodded a silent greeting to his brother.

"It is good to see that you are faring well. The last time I saw you, I do recall taking quite a nasty bite to my shoulder in order to protect you from that other."

Faring well - how humorous, though he dare not show it. It seemed his brother had taken quite a beating, and not only from Caligula. He could not help but notice the disfigurements that riddled his brother, the same cowardice nature of his demeanor. Truly, the accusations were quite boring if Tesseract were honest. After all, he had saved his brother's face seemingly better than the golden boy and this girl - where had they been when such disfigurements occurred exactly? For now, he would remain quiet though, merely... waiting.
