Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

Really, she'd been doing a surprisingly large amount of thinking lately. Not just thinking in general (that was a given) but more specifically, she'd been thinking a lot about family. For starters, she'd been wondering where her mother had seemingly run off to again and seriously, she hoped she hadn't left Moladion for a male or something silly. Also, she'd been doing a lot of thinking as to whether or not her decision to be absent from her own children's life had been the best one for them. Certainly, having been raised without a father had been a difficult feat for her, but did it really make it that much different? Did it make her much different? Yes, it meant Azrael got to call her a bastard more regularly but in the end, her younger brothers seemed to be just as well off as she, if not (in her own modest opinion) not quite as fantastic as her. Tenshi did as Tenshi did; he took a mate, gave her a child and then they all disappeared together. Kaltag had left a long time ago after a brief stint of mooching in Trenus, but that was to be expected of him. As for Amutaq? Well, the last she'd heard of him, he was busy being a continual pain in Brooke's backside. It seemed like their parents didn't make a different. But would it be the case with Iscariot and Melek?

Maybe the reason she thought more about family was because, somewhere inside her, she one day wanted one. Hell no, she didn't want one with Covet or Letum or whoever else, but maybe with Rogue. Maybe she'd gather up Magnus and her spawn and they'd camp out somewhere and make a pretty decent living... or something. Maybe she'd damn well secure them a home. Maybe she'd get Rogue back into Iromar, but maybe she and Rogue would be the Alphas this time. She didn't know, she just knew it had been bothering her lately. Of course, she blamed winter because it was the only rational thing to blame. It definitely wasn't her getting older or developing multiple soft spots. Hell...no.

Remarkably, she'd also been doing a fantastic job at staying fairly clear of Diveen. Slowly, she had been testing the waters around Glorall, hoping to find Rogue or possibly agitate the Alpha enough to come out so that she might damn well ask him. Either way, she hadn't been in Diveen for some time and well, she was feeling less and less inclined to be there. Instead, she must preferred simply roaming the free lands, scouting out all the other wolves and simply listening in on conversations she probably shouldn't have. She had to admit that it was more fun than listening to the mundane conversations in Diveen, though she knew she'd likely have to report back to Isola soon enough though. It wasn't like she had an issue with that... she just didn't want to see Ava or Azrael, really. She stuck her tongue out at the thought of them, snorting loudly as she loped over the fields; there'd been a gathering there not so long ago, apparently. Lots of females and males, probably just... being dumb or something. She'd been to a gathering like it before and had simply witnessed oddities all around her. Maybe Sleekwing understand the gatherings or something - but what the hell was he doing in her mind?

Something ahead of her caught her attention though - a slender form, tall and dark like herself with a stupid white tail. Hah, it was sort of reminiscent of her ear. Both were just sort of... obvious, total giveaways. She laughed under her breath dryly, pitying the poor bastard cursed with such an appendage but something in the back of her mind nagged at her. Was it really that often to see another like her? Really? Well, no, and that actually piked her interest as she watched through narrowed eyes, sniffing the air wearily. Surely he hadn't come back, and surely he wouldn't be so casual about loping about if he had after all these years.

Amutaq! She couldn't help but chuckle, almost in a sinister fashion, as she put two and two together. Besides, even if she was wrong, that could be fun too.

With a flick of her tail, she was off - from behind him, of course. She moved at a swift lope, all while almost cackling beneath her breath. She was sure that by the time he heard her, she'd be close enough to initiate the operation; the moment she was within a few yards of him, she'd dart forward at a sprint, intending on leaping on him behind. Did she expect him to take it well? No, of course not, but she'd be prepared to take a bite if it meant scaring the absolute life out of her dearest brother. If that didn't work, well, she'd just circle about him, bouncing along with a smirk that was all too smug.

"Poor form, Amu. I hope you don't call yourself a trickster anymore if you've just been out-tricked."

Maybe it should have been a more emotional reunion, but really, there'd never been a doubt in her mind that her family had all survived. If they had dealt with her, then surely they could deal with something like a meteor.
