In a small clearing near the edge of Blossom Forest there are several large stones scattered around, each towering over the height of three wolves on top of one another. The stones are stable in the hard, unfertile earth and no amount of pushing or pulling can knock them down, or even budge them.

The area is unsettling and spooky, rumoured to house the spirits of evil wolves who may have once roamed Blossom Forest. Will you be the one to uncover the secret?

A scruffy dull coat covered her form, her once bright grey and russet coat now dull, fragile, ragged. It was dirty from rolling around with her niece and nephews, and had a few twigs and leaves stuck in it. She had spent her time making sure they kept clean as to protect their fragile and immature immune systems. Her once well muscled, trim, fit form was not just leaner, but skinny. Too slim. Her ribs showed, as she had shared all of her meals with her brother, his mate, and their pups. She knew all too well how hard life could be for a pup so she wanted to ensure that her brother spent all of his time with his pups, not wasting time hunting. And it had taken a toll on the fae, as was seen by her physical appearance. But given the chance she would not change any of it. She would have made the same choice time after time after time.

All the while, when her form lost weight and her coat began to die, her hopes stayed strong. The pups had increased in strength, almost as if they were stealing hers. Their coats were shiny and new, as if they had stolen her luster. But if her sacrifice would benefit them, then it was worth it. But then the time had come, and her brother and his mate had taken the pup to Abendrot to deposit him into his prison. Kershov had promised to keep the pup safe and teach him the proper ways of life and that they could visit him at their fancy… but the pup would never return home. That much had become clear. Kahlan was put in charge of the remaining two pups while Henadin and Channing were gone, but Macaria and Altair had wanted to wander the terra, so she had left them as soon as their promised not to cross the boundary, at least not without her.

As she traveled throughout the terra, her muscles screamed and protested. Because of the short limbs of her niece and nephews, she had not had to stretch out her limbs, so her muscles had all atrophied. This was the first time she really had left the terra since their birth, and definitely was the first time that she had galloped across the lands. And so, though her muscles were burning from inactivity, she pushed herself until she was far from Saw Tooth. The femme ran until her body nearly collapse, and she slowed to a walk. Kahlan had ran from the lands, hoping to be able to forget about what was occurring now. Hope to forget what had happened all of those years ago when she herself was a pup.

For a while, her form wandered like a ghost, until a huge form arose in front of her and her pace stopped, her bright yellow orbs raising, realizing that her path had unwittingly led her to the Sacred Stones, an area she had never before explored. A thick mist lay upon the ground, enveloping both her paws and the stones. Still, her body shook terribly, but she didn’t move. Closing her lids, she lifted her muzzle to the eyes and just stood. Shaking. Wishing that it was different somehow.
