Ruieze Fields

Open fields and soft grass...
Ruieze stretches far in the midlands of Moladion, laced with streams that feed into Diveen and out of Asteraia at times. The fields are vast, filled with wildflowers and tall, soft grass; trees are sparse, as are rocks, but one can find small shrubs to hide amongst, and the grass itself. To the south of the fields, a Ruieze River widens, and the ground becomes sandy. There is a small, grassy island that can be reached from the banks, with water-birds often congregating on the island rather than the riverbanks.

The Prodigy

The obtuse little female continued to stare at him with a look of either startled dumbfound-ness or some form of inability to look anywhere else. Perhaps the silver-hued lady had been struck down with some form of eye-condition. Honestly Pan would hardly be surprised at this point, the manner in which she floundered about in the water was hardly conducive to good eye health, one could easily lose an optic with such frivolity and yet, another part within his highly analytical mind is not entirely displeased with her continued examination of himself. For whatever reason, she alone stood apart from every other creature present, her short stature only further intriguing his mind, the boy of glittering gold used to being towered over by male and female alike and truly it is an oddity to find someone of his own height, although she lacks the sheer muscle he possess. Of course, Pan would hardly mind were he to possess less muscle, physical strength has never been of particular use to him, he far prefers pursuits of the mind and truly he is entirely assured that any form of fighting is a science, one easily mastered when the correct techniques are employed. His Mother had forever been averse to such thinking, the infamous Amazonian warrior convinced she could lead her son to the same battle-filled glory as she, Pan having taken so strongly after her in build, yet lacking the towering height of his sire. Either way, the boy had only ever proven a disappointment to his Mother in that regard, while his Father had failed entirely to understand his mental capabilities and why it was the boy preferred to pursue them and yet……for all his shortcomings in the eyes of his parents- he is the last of the old blood, the last Prince of Trenus before the Angel empire and Heyel’s victory over his Mother saw them lose their homeland. Black eyes lifted once more to the silver-hued female as she addressed him, features knotting into a look of confusion at her statement before he offered a shake of his head, entirely incapable of not correcting others.

“That is rather presumptuous of you given that you have little knowledge on myself and yet seem content to make the apparent judgement that I have no reason to stand away from the others. Perhaps I do, perhaps I do not and yet until I either confirm or deny such a thing, your assumption remains just that, an assumption and not the conclusive fact you seem to have deduced.”

He is not…telling her off exactly, merely informing her of the knowledge she seems to lack, one eye lifting as if silently inquiring as to wether she seeks to question his implication further, the huff in her voice and twitch of her tail causing his features to contort slightly once more into that ever present brooding look she seems to have so correctly identified upon his features. Why is she annoyed? He has done nothing but correct her mistakes and truly, should she not seek to better herself? Should she not appreciate his gesture? Social graces, for all his intelligence, remain elusive to the boy, the smile she manages to offer him however, seeming the ensue a sudden possession of his limbs by an unknown force and an apparent lack of respect for personal space, the golden male very nearly touching his nose to her own as he comes abruptly forward with a look of genuine surprise. The female however, seemed equally surprised by his apparent seizure before seeming to continue to blink at him in a repetitive manner. Perhaps the air in this area was tainted, his body seems to be entirely out of his control while she seems to have been rendered near immobile by forces unknown. How curious that this entity should affect them in different ways- the true notion of what has occurred, eludes him entirely, the boy refusing to boy into this notion of imprints and as such, finds his mind highly intrigued by this current state of ridiculousness he finds himself experiencing. Perhaps he has finally become ‘normal’, perhaps some unknown disease had robbed him of his intelligence, perhaps this ridiculous standing and blinking was what normal wolves did…then again, to be in possession of these thoughts surely means he has not lost his superiority in the manner of intellect- he is simply unable, for the moment, to explain his own actions or those of the silver girl with the eye-condition.

His voicing of this so-called seizure however, seemed to render the female into action, the girl looking genuinely surprised before she very near seemed to fall at his attempting to inform her of her well-proportioned head, a great compliment as far as he can be concerned and yet truly the girl hardly seems to appreciate the benefits of a good skull. Had he been of a mind to, the gorgeous boy may have sighed with exasperation, as it was he found her reaction entirely too bizarre. If she was not immobile…she was clumsy. How had she reached adulthood with such a bizarre manner of behaving? Perhaps she was an inbred? It happens, Pan has borne witness to this and truly he finds it utterly fascinating if not morally corrupt, then again, her flawless physical proportions surely would not exist were that the case. Any words he may have been content to offer in this regard are quickly removed from his brilliant mind as she abruptly begins to speak of his need for medical aid, pressing into him so suddenly that the boy is very near convinced he may be given to faint. Her touch is....potent. Clearly he is suffering from over-sensitivity as well. An allergic reaction he supposes, although to what he cannot say, the male allowing himself to lean against her although truly his legs seem to be entirely in control of themselves as they stumble towards the water- before a new thought takes possession of his mind, the boy scowling slightly as the water laps at his paws.

“If I were suffering a seizure I am not entirely given to believe my drinking would be a good idea, would I not become something of a drowning risk? After all, the very notion of a seizure is bound to lead towards some kind of fainting spell and were I to fall head-first into the river I hardly believe you would have the strength to actually prevent my ingestion of water. To what extent is your medical training on this?”

That he is still touching her, still pressing into her seems to have gone unnoticed, the gold of his pelt, illuminated to bronze perfection in the sun seems to intertwine with the silver of her own as they stand and the obsidian of his strange gaze rests against her own with expectance. If she is not medically trained he hardly feels she has the authority to be prescribing him anything.

“On the contrary, you seem rather flustered, perhaps you should consider a sip of water? Water has a remarkable cooling effect, you could also try panting a little more excessively although at this point I hardly think it will do you much benefit. I also feel we have broken a generally accepted social convention by my not asking you what your name is? I’m Pan.”
