Aplos Riverside

Moladion’s powerful, winding river...
Aplos River is a broad, slow-moving river originating from somewhere beneath the mountains of Spirane and feeding Iromar’s moors in the south. The northern parts of the river are known for their strong currents, with the water becoming slow moving in the south. The riverbanks vary along its course, ranging from soft hummock grasses to small groups of pine, and sometimes nothing but pebbles and sand. Crossing can be difficult at times, but it can be swam or bridged by fallen trees or boulders alike.

The grown male snarls at her telling her she isn’t needed here and that’s recognizes his smell and that hateful look in his eyes, a wolf hunter, he was one of those who had lost someone dear to him and now he blames the world for it. He was in the same mental pitfall as she had been in once, so she knew when she thought all he wants is blood. Though she does mentally kick herself for not noticing earlier before she revealed herself, the smell is that of a rotting soul and other wolfs’ blood.
“I am here simple to give the pup choice nothing more. It’s up to him whether I leave him alone.” she said unconcerned of his obvious aggressiveness towards her.
Wolves like the one standing before her had a really good tendency of ticking her off, so she has to makes sure to keep herself in check. She watches as the pup thrashes about on the ground having some sort of fit probably hallucinations, then he makes an attempt to show he is willing to defend himself if so need snapping his jaws close to the other males chin. The other male just blinks, as the pup says that he is happy to learn as long as it doesn’t affect his well being. In the response the older male tells him, the effect is what the pup makes it to be. She can’t blame the pup as he goes to sit by the older male and watches her with curiosity, after all what’s a half grown female to a full grown male; she catches the grown males glance and knows what he is thinking, if he should come after her later he’ll find out the hard way that she isn’t so willing to play prey.
The pup gets up suddenly and heads for the water, to this she lets out an amused snort. She watches him drink more than his fill, which unless he gets rid of the extra, is bound to make him sick. And then the pup walks back over and introduces as Acanthus saying that we could shorten it to Cant. The other wolf says that calling him anything else beside his full name would be an insult, and she agrees with him the only time it’s ok to shorten someone else’s name is when every second counts, or when you are extremely close to the other.
The older male asks Acanthus if he is ready to go, accepting that she probably wouldn’t be able change Acanthus’s mind she brushes the older male to get a drink.
“You know I pity you, and don’t say you don’t need my pity because that’s up to me, I pity you because you weren’t able to climb out of the mental pit fall of losing your loved one; instead you decided the world had to pay and became a wolf hunter, I pity you because I could have turned out just like you or worse. You may be more physically strong, but your mental state in overly fragile. Also Acanthus there are worse ways to lose your mother at least she died protecting you, in my old pack mothers driven insane by hunger would attempt to kill their pups, and because of this I had to kill my own; me the best hunter and warrior in my pack couldn’t save her own mother, it really can knock to size when you realize the ones you care about will die no matter what, sometimes you can prolong their lives but in the end everything dies.” She said first addressing the grown male then Acanthus, feeling like now she has done everything she could.
Then she laps up some water, her ears flicking backward listening, as she wonders about the two boys. Suddenly her ears flick forward hearing rush beneath the surface, she steps back just in time for a alligators jaws to snap shut inches from her face. She snaps, her other self is released and with no aggressive body language, she moves with amazing speed. Her jaws close crushing the alligators throat and snapping it’s spine. Standing there shaking as she slowly regains her mind and re-cages her other self.
