Nootau’s ears perked forwards at her simple denial that he wouldn’t be her crush. He bit his lip to keep from bursting into laughter. Well, alright then. Nootau wasn’t sure if he should feel flattered or not because she clearly misunderstood the word, yet it was obvious she really liked him even though she wasn’t truly romantically interested. He supposed he would be… happy to have gained a friend that made him laugh so terribly much.

He huffed in feinted disappointed that she had grasped his tail. He grinned when she danced away with classic puppy clumsiness. It was a wonder any pup could bond or play with how terribly large their paws were. Nootau felt he had fallen down far too often as a puppy (but he was not naturally accomplished at anything and honestly, he hadn’t fallen down more than the average pup). He play bounded after Flicka, though he did not make to tackle or grab her; he was chasing her for a couple of steps as she bragged to him.

Godric was a good fellow, Nootau had thought upon his first encounter with him. And her realization made him grin. Well, he supposed it was a good thing she had parents to worry about. He had constantly given his adoptive Gramps a hard time with running off and staying out far too late because he could and the lectures always made him feel like he was getting attention even if didn’t enjoy them much.

Nootau nodded and answered her, “Well, I live in Diveen for the moment. But next time, I’ll come nearer to Spirane.” As he spoke, however, she was bounding away. Nootau barked and bounded after her a step with a wide grin on his face, “I’ll meet at the Aplos River Side!” he called after her, hoping she would hear him as she loped off towards her homeland.

He stared after her a moment, sad their meeting had ended so suddenly. But then he shook his head and turned tail. Diveen wasn’t too far away and he had the rest of the day to wreak havoc there. He had wolves to meet in Diveen, after all, and he only had winter to meet them!
