Glorall

Disaster has struck!
Flooding from the north has taken its toll on Glorall. The large tides combined with the increase in water draining from the Ruieze River has flooded the lower regions of the pack. The sandy soil, compounded with so much water, has toppled a lot of trees. Traveling is difficult even when the water is shallower, with the sandy soil below being difficult to find traction on. The daily tides seem to keep the level of flooding fairly consistent, too.

During the low tide, wolves may be able to move around the higher dunes (with some difficulty) but during high tide, the pack is almost impossible to safely navigate. Swimming is possible, but the risk of currants and surges from either the ocean or the river are very real. The island off of the coast of Glorall is untouched by either issue, although it is incredibly difficult to find your way there without being an adept swimmer with plenty of good luck!

Note: Glorall will reopen once 30 posts have been completed (or at Staff discretion). During this time, new threads will receive a 'Surprise','Disaster', and prizes. Glorall is currently not open for challenges.

The sharp, cutting wind slithered through the thick winter coat that Caligula had acquired. The pines offered only a little resistance from the biting breezes and the ocean became a cold, sterile place. The dunes were the only saving grace of the oceanfront property. Caligula was making her rounds, keeping the scent of ownership strong. It wasn't long before Maradona joined her. Her sleek daughter was fast growing into an adult and Caligula wondered if her own Mother was in awe of their growth and maturity. Caligula often thought of her Mother, but the disloyalty and the birth of half-breed siblings kept her away from Iromar--even now that she led the ocean pack.

Maradona greeted her mother with licks beneath her chin and a soft tail wag along the border. She followed her Mother as they made their way around Glorall. It was something that eased the raging storms within the mostly black youth. The uncertainty of growing up quieted to the farther recesses of her mind as she spent time with her silent mother. Next to the mute Queen, Maradona's mind quieted and her soul rested. She moved without too much thought simply enjoying the calming presence of Caligula.

Caligula's mismatched eyes spied someone at the borders, and she slowed for a moment. She knew the winds would bring her scents to the Angel-marked creature before they would reveal her to Caligula or Maradona. She glanced at her own daughter, and approached cautiously. The Angels had marked Caligula as a monster, or at least so Heyel had decreed, and she was not about to allow Maradona to be hurt by the Angels that had so outcast herself. She placed herself in front of Maradona and then approached slowly with her tail raised high across her back and her ears pricked forward. Her fur bristled as she approached. Tesseract may have tolerance for Diveen and the Angels, but Caligula was not a fan of the whole bloodline. Who were they to judge her?

The voice called for Tesseract but Mother already had the Angel in her eyes. Maradona watched her mother's fur bristle and she took on a similar stance however less dominant. If Mother didn't trust this respectful stranger, then Maradona was less inclined to trust her as well. They approached cautiously, Mother was ever-quiet and Maradona trying desperately to be that silent.

Caligula angled herself so that Rejya would see her first before Maradona. She stood close enough to assert her dominance and yet far enough away that she could not be interpreted as aggressive. Caligula kept her eyes on Rejya. This was one that she had limited memories of, most likely because Rejya was older than she was. Maradona could sense her mother's tension and decided to find out exactly what this wolf wanted. Maradona kept her head at her mother's shoulders and her tail even with her own topline. A sign of her submission to her mother and yet a declaration that she belonged here in Glorall and Rejya did not. "Welcome to Glorall. This is Caligula, the Baroness of Glorall. I am Maradona. May we ask your business here?" It would seem that she had inherited her father's gentile and sly tongue. She had offset the slightly aggressive stance of Caligula with a rather open welcome. Maradona was not sure on her father's stance with Diveen but it was better to tether her mother's bite first, investigate later, than to start a war without intending it.
