Bright Moon - a land sullied by mystery and the ravaging scars of a terrible fire. Abandoned as a pack land for years, the terra has been used as a gathering place for the brazen and bloodthirsty drawn there by the lingering pall of death. Yet from the ashes there comes an unordained phoenix, the rainbow hues of hope glinting in her mismatched globes. Through the obsidian drapes obscuring the scenery, she alone was able to catch the perfumed aroma of new life on the breeze and hear the sluggish streams flowing ever swifter into the morning.

Thus, with a purpose, she set out to map the incognita, discovering daily the extent of the reawakening and unearthing within herself a desire to return the landscape to its former glory. Now she stands tall as privileged Alpha of the lands, lording over the rock-strewn prairie and bountiful forests with a firm but gentle paw.

Having finally realized her deepest longing to be a queen, Satowra is focused solely on the revival and maintenance of the Bright Moon Pack. Her question to each prospective warrior that comes to the border is simple:

"Do you have what it takes?"

Wolves keep arriving as I sit idly by. A female that looks like she's been in a recent fight saunters in but I can tell by the irritated expression on Darcia's face that he's not impressed. Does he know her? It certainly seems like it. She makes out two words and the meaning is clear. I look up at Darcia quizzically, wondering how he'll respond.

Another male approaches, looking childish somehow even though he has an adult body. He seems amused at everything he looks at. He looks insulted by the girl who just came in and crawled up to Darcia. I watch as he sidles up to Darcia like a long lost lover, purring sweet nothings at him that really makes me question sexuality of one or both of the wolves. Then he moves on, eying the girl on the ground as he curls his lips back. My own ears flick back, wondering what gives him the right to make judgement on her but it's not my place to speak so I keep my thoughts to myself. My golden eyes flash at him in warning though, a bit of the old Misty coming out in me, I suppose.

He passes more wolves, giving someone a shy smile though I'm not sure if its meant for me or someone else present since there are more females than males right now. Pretending to ignore it, just in case, I set my gaze on Darcia, still measuring him up, calculating.

Another male approaches, this one known to me but only as an acquaintance. I remember his name is Summer. He moves to me with a relief in his gaze to know someone so I offer him an inviting smile, knowing I would rather sit next to someone I know at a meeting. When he greets me, I wag my tail and prick my ears, nodding in reply as I answer in a soft voice.

"Hi, Summer."

I turn my attention back to Darcia, reading his reactions to everything. He seems annoyed by the female on the ground before him but he looked intrigued when he looked at me. There's nothing great about me so what gives? Probably just cause he knows I've been with the pack a while. My ears flick back as he starts basically shouting at the male who slinked up to him. I don't really want to understand what he's even shouting, all I need to understand is that for some reason this male means something to him and he's royally pissed at him.

I prick my ears up as Darcia turns to the rest of us, introducing himself and the male at his side. I dip my head respectfully on cue. Darcia speaks to the girl on the ground first, asking her why she followed him. When he turns to me, he asks for Summer and my title before asking about Tamlin. A knot forms in my throat at the mention of the only alpha I've ever known of Bright Moon. I wasn't here for Satowra, only Tamlin. I glance at Summer, wondering how much he knew of the past leader before I clear my throat, brushing away the pain at his death as I speak to Darcia in a soft measured tone.

"Tamlin was a fair and kind leader. He knew each of his wolves by name and kept up with their individual lives even while keeping his own mostly a mystery. He distanced others even though he kept up a warm inviting facade. He was close to Satowra, the original alpha of Bright Moon when it came back to life. I think he put up a wall after she left to keep from getting hurt again.

As for the packs, Abendrot and Malignant Felicity are not to be trusted. The alpha of Abendrot is a cold wolf who makes harsh deals with only his own motives and benefits in mind. The alpha of Malignant Felicity is a cold hearted killer who thinks her charms can get her out of anything and the wolves under her are no different. The rest are pretty much touch and go. Cold Summers just gained new alphas. Saw Tooth's leader is a kind healer named Moth. She's been there for a long time. Aurora Borealis is ruled by an intelligent male named Kalgalath. He rules his pack with kindness but takes care of threats with no mercy. I don't know much about the other packs. The alphaship is either on the line or too quiet to be sure."

Another female arrives and Darcia asks her an unual question. I've never seen an alpha scold someone for asking to join their pack. How interesting. I tilt my head, blinking my golden eyes as I wait for things to unfold.

Yet another female arrives and this one goes right up to Darcia, introducing herself as Elora before asking his. She seems mesmerized by him; it's quite entertaining. Is this love at first sight or that draw of power that has hungry females chomping at the bit? Its too soon to judge so I guess I'll have to stick around and find out.

The female who was on the ground introduces herself as Iso to him, telling him facts that are transparent at her own interest in the new king. I have to resist the urge to roll my eyes. Oh yes, sarcastic witty doesn't-hide-what-she's-feeling Misty is almost back. This is what I was before Raylen came into my life and ripped it to shreds. The nightmares are still there, reminders of the choices I've made, the first mate, Hunter, the love of my life who I had to kill before he could kill me. Then Raylen, my golden boy with a heart as bright as his fur but he kept disappearing everytime I was on the edge of getting closer to him. I withdrew into my shell like a turtle but now I'm coming back out, hopefully this time to stay.
