The Cavern of Secrets holds much more than you can imagine. Once a forbidden place, the ban on entrance has been released...yet, is it a good idea to enter?

Once a great battle had been fought in this cavern, against a dark beast that had once - and still might - dwell here. No one knows where he disappeared to, but there are rumours...

even if the world shatters around me,
you are mine.

It seemed that Darcia arrived right on cue. The deep musk of his scent heralded his coming, the dark particles floating on the autumn breeze. Iason turned his gaze to the entrance of the cave, yet other than that he remained perfectly stationary; he had scouted this cover for a reason, and he would keep up the façade until he was ready to show himself or that black King noticed himself, whichever came first. Almost at once he entered, slinking from the surrounding bushes as delicately as a feline. The way his muscle rippled under his pelt, the smooth curve of his shoulders under the pale moonlight... Iason forced himself to resist the urge to breathe at the sight of it all. The slightest mistake, even a heavy breath upon the stony ground, would give him away.

His tainted counterpart seemed to walk a bit and then stop, obviously deep in thought. But what about? Surely his pack. Isn’t that what all Alphas thought about? Like, all the time? A dark, ugly thing raised its head in the white titan’s stomach, the first clawed kick of jealousy, but Iason pushed it down. No, how could he feel that now? Darcia now had a commitment to his territory and those unlucky souls residing within it; who was he to occupy the regal’s thoughts? It was then that the tinted boy began to question his motives. Afterall, wasn’t he just being selfish about this whole thing? Aqua orbs narrowed in the dim background of the cave, pondering whether now was really the best time in his life to suddenly become some selfless saint of a creature. No. He possessed a duty as Beta to his commander, but at the moment they were not inside the borders. They weren’t chained by the shackles of rank or position; expectations no longer burdened their shoulders. It was out here that they were once again on equal ground.

A sudden gleam of pristine ivory caught the distracted boy’s eye, and Iason found his gaze locked on a set of exposed canines. Had Darcia noticed him already? What a kill-joy. He waited until the shaded he-beast settled down, an event that surely wouldn’t take much longer, as Iason’s own trace was currently being deciphered by the threatening brute. Sure enough his hackles returned to their resting place and Darcia adopted a more exhausted look, words manifesting in his vocals soon enough. The hell are you doing. Hah, just the kind of greeting he expected from the shadowy knight. Iason drew in a deep breath, feeling it fill him with strength and disgust him at the same time at the awful stench of the place. His hinds rose first, followed by the gentle rise of his anterior half.

Yet, the prince could meet the gaze of his King immediately. His mask swiveled away from the familiar hessian, his portals now ravaging the depths of the cavern. However, lyrics also few to Iason quite rapidly. His skull turned to stare at the hardened terra a few feet to his front, blunt talons curling into the marble slightly. “I wonder.” The quote was as much spoken as it was a sigh, his tone lacking its usual joviality. It was only then that the archangel turned to face his brother, a dark pleading buried within the depths of his spheres. Steps commenced, the whole world silent around them except for the soft clicking of his claws upon the rock. He did not advance too close; no, Darcia would push him away yet again. However, he did not want their conversation broadcasted to the rest of the region. Once the distance was comfortable Iason stopped, his gaze once again dropping. “Tell me, is it wrong for my heart to desire time with you where I am not your slave?” The words were expectantly bitter, yet completely revealing of his true intentions, and perhaps his true emotions as well.

Iason once again looked up at his partner, the feathered moonlight creating a wall between them. Why did the boy look so on edge? Darcia was never one to care that much over anything serious, and even if it did capture his attention he sure as hell never showed it. There was discomfort in him, both physical and not. Why was his best friend so disturbed? The sight stirred up all breeds of feeling within his gut, protective and concerned kinds, angry and sympathetic kinds, kinds that made him want to hold the male and steal his pain away. He remembered him as a teen now, barely out of puphood, and the connection he had felt the first day they met. For such a beautiful thing to stem from such an ugly origin... the wonders of the world never ceased to amaze. Taking another tentative step forward, Iason lowered his cranium slightly and looked up at the shadow before him, an obvious beg. “If only for the night, treat me as your friend, Darcia, and not your subordinate.” His lyrics were soft, almost pleading. Yes, perhaps he was mad that he was in second in command. But it wasn’t the position that bugged him, it was the way that Darcia punished him and admonished him suddenly because it was his job to do so. And Iason could say nothing back, lest be labeled as mutinous. He wanted his friend back, the man he shared his childhood with, who wouldn’t push him away over such trivial things.

The creamy warrior’s tassel brushed the backs of his high ankles, trying to comfort the vampire’s aching heart, his soul suddenly ablaze. “Don’t deny me anymore.” A whisper. The faintest of angel’s sighs. A silent tear in auditory form. An expression of pure emotion lost to the evil of the world.
