The forest stands tall and lush here; ancient trees reach weather-twisted arms to the sky, fighting monster-like storm clouds back with their interlacing fingers. Shadow seems to lurk everywhere you look, but it spills calmly, coolly, inspiring a sense of stealthy calm or protection rather than unease. That is, if you've forgotten what kind of creature might be stalking just out of sight...Abendrot is a land cradled by the dark woods on all sides; in the center, some of the larger trees stay behind to reveal a small plateau - a citadel where this pack can gather and defend itself from invaders. There are, of course, softer sides to the land. Clearings here and there allow the sun to throw down its rays in incongruously resplendent gold showers. Ignore the lingering scents of blood spattered here and there along the borders: those do not concern you. The river on one edge of the territory is playful enough when it hasn't been gorged by violent rain. You can choose to note the ragged claw marks raked down tree trunks and the forest floor as friendly "Home Sweet Home" signs, if you wish.

All who treasure loyalty, order, victory, and the occasional indulgence of raw visceral pleasure are welcome, once they've been approved by the ever-watchful eyes of Abendrot's Alpha. But keep one thing in mind: no matter what your motive, this is not a fool's Paradise. This is the land of soldiers, assassins, and spies. This is ABENDROT.

Make up your mind quickly and prepare to prove your worth. You wouldn't want to add to those blood spatters, would you...?

Sometimes I think of the sun and the moon as lovers.
Who rarely meet, always chase, and almost always miss one another.
But once in a while they do catch up. And they kiss...
And the world stares in awe of their eclipse.

The silver gargoyal who stood before her made no move, to sit, or stretch, or lay. In all reality he made no move to do anything in anyway, except just stand there... It was rather depressing actually... She could hear something in his words--an undertone of something sinnister--though the moment in which it presented itself was but breif. The golden lady wondered idly what his thoughts might be. If they were as bland as his personality at the present, or if they raved with feverant visious desires. Maybe his thoughts truely were as dull as his exterior, but she sincerily doubted it. Nearly all wolves, as it would seem, had a teaming mind full of glorious things. That was the way her own mind was at least, along with any other lupine who had ever bothered to share their thoughts with her. Sun was quite good at that as luck would have it. Extracting things.

To be completely honest the sun strewn child was a creature of that sort. Manipulation being only one of her personality characteristics, but it most definitely was one of her favorites. How she could bend like the way light refracts through glass to create miriads of colors and shapes. It wasn't that she was completely self serving, which she most certainly could be. It also wasn't because she was cruel, although for all her pretty words and etiquite she could make the devil cry. To put it simply the sun goddess did what she wanted when she wanted. If she wanted to hear someones inner most secrets then she would twist herself into anything to weasle her way into the safety net of someone elses mind. It was just her way. Only her way.

Until now. Now Sun was growing tired of doing things on her own. She wanted a new adventure. This required a new solar system... Her white lips were pressed in a thin line as she listened to the stone warrior in front of her. His reply of 'It's not up to me la ti da ti da' Well of course it's not up to you, but with the way you were holding that tail... she thought to herself, but as it would seem another creature greeted them where they stood at that particular moment. This one though... He posed for something interesting. Her polar opisite. She smiled. She could see it by the way he held himself, that he was most definitely something to be respected--and not like the untalkitive soldier that stood in front of her lighted form. This would be her king.

She watched him intently with a new twinkle in her eye. With a new piked interest she became her better half. Her audettes were poised along with the rest of herself, as always ( except of course, when people were boring ). The white war lord nodded some fond words to his deciple and that was the end of it... or was it? The beast turned his nose to the side. The little blazing child took a long look. It was as if half of his face had been cleaved away from him. Ripped apart in one fowl swoop. That's what it would have had to been. One. Who could have gone back for a second blow? She wondered for a moment if that were true. It was unwise to make such persumptions, but his eyes suggested otherwise. Like a starless night they fortold of mercy in it's nonexistant form. They swam like demons in the dark amoungst the paleness of his face.

She wondered, but alas she did not wonder these things for long. She dropped, speaking her name in the same moment. A moment that was to be be one of the very few times she'd ever revealed such a weakness to another. "Sun." A name that was so well suited for such as herself, it would bring one to wonder if there really was such a thing as fate...
