Ice Mountain

The Ice Mountain is much smaller than Wolf Mountain, yet climbing up it is far more difficult and shouldn't be attempted in winter. Some creatures collect the shiny stones at the peak of this mountain for necklaces.

Azar stared over the top of the mountain, shivering slightly but allowing her pride and adrenaline to keep her

warm.

Before now she would have never climbed these icy peaks. Especially not in Winter, but what could she say? She

had been feeling adventureous, and had decided to brave the ice and snow for the view. Her pelt stood out

clearly; fiery orange with black speckles that brought out her green eyes. Black legwarmers decorated each of her

paws, torn and frayed yet miraculously still trying in vain to keep her warm. Nothing much about her had changed,

besides the green jewel she kept hanging around her neck from a length of rope. She was still the warm person she

had been at the start of her travels here; friendlyness unhampered by even this example of extreme weather. If

you asked her to describe herself, she'd probably have used a word like "sturdy"; unchanging no matter where she

went, or who she left behind.

The female recalled the news that had been conveyed to her by one of the larger birds she had met before coming

here. Her mother, the only one she'd really had that was a constant in her life, had died. Peacefully - the bird

had hastened to add - but very far away from Wolf Mountain. He was mearly there to let her know, before she moved

on and tried to look for her. She hadn't cried, just kept her head down and nodded. She wouldn't bother trying to

reach the body if it was that far away; she'd just do what she always did an keep wandering.

Looking at the blank whiteness that surrounded her, Azar breifly thought about the last time was was up so

high...Wolf Mountain's peak. With her...friend Tundra.

“I think I will like it here. You know, if I ever go travelling again, you could always come as well?"
She remembered saying that to him, unusually shyly at that point. It was a shame she hadn't really seen him

again. She'd looked for that familiar icy-coloured coat -even thought she saw him once- but it seemed he didn't

want to be found. But she was used to it; chin up and all that.
