Re(1): grief

Dear Sue;

So sorry to hear about your beloved Russian Blues. I, too, had a Russian Blue friend -- Comrade Tzarevich was his name. He was a shy but friendly guy. I am sure your Maine Coone friend misses his housemates -- that is probably why he is clinging to you so tightly. What would you think about getting him a couple of homeless kittens for company? Of course he will find them disgusting at first -- as any adult would those nutty kids -- but as they play together he may well find it takes his mind off his loss. I suggest two rather than one, because he may well slap one little kitten around too much. (He means, "This is _my_ house -- why are you here?") But two kittens can happily ignore him until he feels like joining in their play.
Meantime, have you looked into The Rainbow Bridge website? It has a lot of words of cheer for those of us who have seen our dear friends go over the Rainbow Bridge.

Love to you and your Maine Coon friend,

-- Dear Tabby
