Kozu shrugged at his mate when she asked if anything was wrong, grinning sheepishly. "Nope, it's all grand. I was just worried I was late." He shook his fur out and sat down, turning to his younger son as he explained his gifts to them. He had no problem with it, not directly, he just felt like... It was almost too much for them. Like he was trying to make up for his brother's absence. "Well, that's good then. I was just feeling guilty with how much work you put into it. I'm glad you enjoy it though." Yes, he was relieved that Revillet liked helping them, but he knew the boy had to make a life for himself at some point - he couldn't go on living mostly for them all his life.
He really had to tell Rev that at some point.

"Revillet." Acid matched his brother's bland tone, and didn't change his mood when he clearly attempted to lighten up. However, as soon as his mum ran to rub his cheek, the young cougar smiled, rubbing her cheek back. "Alright, mum." It was interesting to see how much different he could act to two of his relatives, even when the other was in earshot, and instead of cold tones, his voice was warm, showing his love for his mother fiercely. "I'm sorry, me and Pollute, we just..." He paused, clearing his throat. "...Were busy."
There was something about the way he said it that caused his already jumpy father to clearly show his distaste for his dragon, and Acid felt hurt. It was, he knew, his own fault, really. But he shouldn't hold him against it. Kozu was his dad, he wasn't supposed to be so unforgiving towards him, was he? Replies:
