Romance is in the air...this is probably the most beautiful and scenic place in Blossom Forest. For the athletic and determined to come with their mates, for time away from pups. Only adults may come here; some of the ledges are too far apart for teens or pups to cross and some too high to scale.

No, Kahlan, I wasn’t bored. I never intended to leave you, and I regret being so clumsy every day. She turned and looked toward him, sharing a small smile with him, and then questioned his well being. A moment of internal turmoil crossed his gaze before he answered her. I…I’m okay, I guess. My paw has been bothering me and sometimes I start to feel a little dizzy a… and… I’m sorry Kahlan, I really am. Every day, every night, I tell myself that but it can’t comfort me. The titan’s voice paused before continuing. But the real question is, how are you? The fae shook her head and turned away from him, her bright yellow eyes catching a glimpse of her coat. “Not well. Not healthy… not anything. I… I don’t know how I let myself fall apart like this. I don’t… I just don’t… But I just wanted to make sure they grew up with parents and with fun and with no worries…” Turning back to him, she shrugged. “I wanted them to have everything I never did. Everything Henadin never did.” Inhaling sharply, she continued on with her monologue. “Henadin – if you remember he is my brother – he and his mate had pups but his mate didn’t bond. She didn’t really want anything to do with them. So I did all their hunting… and played with them when my brother needed a rest, and guarded their den at night and sleep…” Her dull yellow eyes that used to make the sun pale in comparison glanced upward, a flash of jealously coming across her countenance. “I don’t remember the last time I had a full night of sleep. The fae walked away a few paces. “I am not who… I was when we met. I have family to focus on – my brother’s family – and until they are healed and complete, they are all that I can focus upon. Aside from myself… I need to get healthy myself. All I can give you is friendship.” Her brow furrowed… “Dizzy? Did you say you get dizzy? You disapp… I mean… you fell a while ago. You shouldn’t still have head or paw pain still. Did you not clean the wound or treat yourself at all? Come, let us go find something that can get rid of your dizziness. I saw some gingko trees… somewhere… They will help, I’m sure of it. Lift your paw, let me see what is wrong with it.” Kindly, she smiled at him, resorting back to her normal, helpful self. |
